Sigh some of the people here obviously don't know the concepts behind browser war games.

I got no problem waiting hours for a level 19 building to upgrade to level 20.

When I first start the game, you'd better have something for me to do again in 5 minutes to keep my attention. Or 10 minutes. Fuck, a half hour is pushing it but that's still one EIGHTH of the time I'm waiting for this stupid mine to get cleared.

Reading comprehension FTW.

Besides, I've played the fuck out of tons of browser games, so don't go acting like I don't know what I'm doing or have never done this before, noob.

Are you a demon?

Yeah I am definitely going to try to keep my economy within the Alliance.

Do you improve or upgrade your mines?

Yes, I'm the demonic race. I'm currently improving my mines because I'm in it for the long haul. If you read the link Pheran posted a while back it definitely makes a good argument for both directions. I think the most "productive" method is improving to around level 5, then upgrading. But you can do it pretty much any way you want.

I have never seen a browser game that works as slow as this. This game requires no more than 1 minute of play in any session. How is that fun?

I've played a few games of this vein as well, and the play/wait ratio does seem a little heavy on the wait.

But I'll ride it out and see how it is on the longer-term.

Can't scout ATOT2. Maybe we should break the alliance between the 2 for right now so we can get some easy XP.

Oops, you are right, our free passage pact is messing this up. TCR, what do you think about canceling it temporarily?

I have to give these developers some credit, things seem to work right here. If this was GameForge, not only would you be able to scout your own cities, but more than likely your force would mysteriously disappear and then show up 37 hours later in a random location. :awe:

i like the slow pace of the game

prevents hope-i-don't-get-fired-from-work scenarios like TribalWars/Ika

tribalwars just started getting ridiculous (set up alarm for 330am, send 5 waves of troops, go back to bed, wake up at 643 to recall troops, go back to bed)

Not sure what to do now, I set my heroes to scout nearby stuff

I'm not powerful enough to attack the 10K+ scores around my city, I don't have enough ore to build anything new for the next ~2 days, but my wood is going to be full today.. if I build a silo it will add an entire extra day before I can build something else

hmm

Alright first of all, We are all old enough to have something to do with our life so I don't see how a three hour wait can be a bad thing.

I played other browser games like Travian where I have to spend like 2 hours a day because of the mass number of villages. That was not fun.

The game probably pace up when you start wars against alliances. Where strategy and long term tactics will need to be form. There is where the fun is. Communication between ATOT guilds and pulverizing anyone that stand against us!!
Thats what I call fun!!!

But enough said, if you want something "more to do" in a browser game then this isn't for you.

Start planning and on what you are going to do next?
Start building long term tactics?
Start communicating with ATOT members around you?
Start reading on the guides posted in the forums?

I don't see how there is anything less to do..

Anyway to cancel what a hero is doing. I'm afraid I'm building a research building (ore) in the middle of nowhere.

I dissolved the pact and it let me do so imemdiately. I'll be sure to instantiate it again a few days before the newbie period ends.

Exactly, I don't need to be obsessing over this thing while I should be doing something else at work. :)

If you don't want to build the silo, you can sell off some resources to the merchant (or try the auction house) before they fill up to increase your gold. The first level of silo is pretty handy though - push the slider all the way to the right if you are short on resources, that will save a bit.

Alright first of all, We are all old enough to have something to do with our life so I don't see how a three hour wait can be a bad thing.

Waiting 3 hours before playing again isn't the issue. When I do play, I want something to actually do. Not 3 clicks and done.

I played other browser games like Travian where I have to spend like 2 hours a day because of the mass number of villages. That was not fun.

I've never spent that much time, but at least in other games I can login anytime and not worry about timing.

Anyway, I sent a caravan to a random person. But like everything in this game, it'll take 37 days to reach:sneaky:

I was playing in the speed server and I have to wait out the attacks because they were going too fast to sleep overnight.

Pheran in beginning I assume I need to capture all four mines and then scout for eXP?

You need to capture the mines then start killing off the monsters around your town, starting with the open areas, which are weaker. The forests get much tougher. Follow the quests you are given, they give you a pretty good idea of what to do in the beginning.

I only resorted to scouting after entering the "lull" period in which you aren't strong enough to take on any more forests without building up your troops for a while.

Alright.

So since sulfur is the most important for demons, I should improve that mine and then only upgrade the rest right?

This game is MUCH too slow for my tastes. Click once on something and you're done all day. Not enough involvement for me. It's fine if you like that but I don't.

I see I see.
Thank you for that.

How many heroes do you have currently?
