I go school at Indiana University in Bloomington, looks like the hardcore campaigning paid off. I've never seen anything like it, I got asked at least 5 or 6 times every day for the past month to vote for Obama. Didn't see a single person campaigning for Hillary. I think 5,000 showed up to hear her talk when she came to Bloomington, compared to the 13,000 who came to see Obama 🙂

Thanks for fixing the formatting. It was confusing before.

The problem with extrapolating the votes from the current reporting is that Gary is not all of Lake county, and other cities in the county are expected to be more balanced. So if that 28% is mostly from Gary, then it's either Hillary wins or a recount.

Clinton has canceled all of her public appearances tomorrow, including her scheduled interviews on morning programs. News organizations seem comfortable addressing him as the presumptive nominee (though they stop short of using that term). It has been over for a while now but I expect a concession soon, if not it will be her playing nice and trying to demonstrate her power with wins in WV and Kentucky, much like the later days of Mike Huckabee's campaign.

Hillary's lead is down to 16.5k - keeps narrowing as the night goes on.

That's why I said it depends on where in Lake county the votes were coming from. Some precincts in Gary were exit-polling nearly 100% for Obama, according to some sources.

I think Obama will likely be the eventual nominee, but hopefully Hillary will rough him up some for the general election, because he is going to be a bad president, especially for the Democratic party.
He is going to be like Jesse Jackson meets Jimmy Carter, and undo all the momentum the Democrats are having. It's better to have McCain checked by a Democrat Congress for 4 years and try with a better candidate later.
