Max Payne 3 PC to have "gloriously increased resolution and graphical detail"

Are there any videos or gifs of Max Payne 3 that is really wowing people? I see previews but I'm not impressed; 10 bucks says the PC version will look identical to the consoles save for rendering at a higher resolution and maybe a bit of tessellation.

It really isn't that bad, it won't be long before PC games come out on blu-ray.

Looks like his shirt is made out of stiff plastic, especially that first screenshot. Other textures are off, too, like the metal staircase in the second screenshot. But whatever, if gameplay is good, the game is probably good regardless of graphics.

From what I've seen on YT its like GTA, minus the open world. From the mission types to the cutscenes and dialog. Chase missions, escort missions, protect missions, lack of drugged out states, etc. Yeah it has bullet time, and some pill popping, but you can tell someone else made this one. I only saw a 40 min stretch of gameplay, but if bullet time wasnt used every few seconds I would have thought this was a GTA episode. Not saying thats good or bad, just my impression.

Well that depends on what you have now, doesn't it? If you're rocking a Voodoo II, yeah, it might be time to consider an upgrade. If you have a GTX 580, you're probably in the clear.

I played the 360 version and it was terrible...cutscene->bullettime->cutscene->bullettime-->rinse-repeat. Psychedelic colors all over, random words sprayed on the screen without rhyme or reason, wonky controls(this part I attribute to my newbieness with console for shooters).

I am hoping the PC version would somehow be better but I dont know how its possible. Maybe it has a builtin benchmark tool that will be the standard for graphics benchmarks, but thats about it.
