Hmm... and now the sell-off right before the bell. I think it's gonna close just above -400.

Wow... this is one of the coolest spikes I've ever seen before.

Why is everyone saying this is about China's market?

Nikkei = Japan's stock market, not china's.

Yeah I realized that just after posting, but couldn't find anything about China's. 10%! jeez!

The bond market is freakin' loving it! Fortunes are being made AND lost today.

I stick by my earlier prediction of closing near -400.

The market was at 10,000 just last July.

Now it's up 12,500, or about 25% nine months later. That's an outrageous gain that can't be sustained without a few small retreats.

We're overdue for a little correction, nothing to worry about in the long term.

OCTOBER: This is one of the peculiarly dangerous months to speculate in stocks in. The other are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, December, August, and February. - Mark Twain

How much could you have lost? The market is still up 15% over the past 52 weeks. Don't look at paper wealth, that never existed.

That only works in real estate...and if your name is Hillary Clinton or Harry Reid.

I was figuring 5-10% of a correction eventually (or just flat from here on out for a year). Looks like we will get he correction.

I won't be suprised if the retreat continued tomorrow.

Bonds stop tradign at 3 PM ... soemtiems the markets change direction at 3 PM. That's what you all saw today.
