Hmm... and now the sell-off right before the bell. I think it's gonna close just above -400.

Wow... this is one of the coolest spikes I've ever seen before.

Why is everyone saying this is about China's market?

Nikkei = Japan's stock market, not china's.

Yeah I realized that just after posting, but couldn't find anything about China's. 10%! jeez!

The bond market is freakin' loving it! Fortunes are being made AND lost today.

I stick by my earlier prediction of closing near -400.

The market was at 10,000 just last July.

Now it's up 12,500, or about 25% nine months later. That's an outrageous gain that can't be sustained without a few small retreats.

We're overdue for a little correction, nothing to worry about in the long term.

f***ing great. i'm about to get divorced, and become poor and miserable, and what happens? the g-d market crashes and makes me even more poor. f***ing great. somebody just give me a gun...

buy your own, it might help the economy

good point. but then my soon-to-be ex would get a monstrous ins. payout. nah, think i just changed my mind.

How much could you have lost? The market is still up 15% over the past 52 weeks. Don't look at paper wealth, that never existed.

I guess those projections about investing $5000 and turning into $1mil after 30 years isn't going to come true LOL

That only works in real estate...and if your name is Hillary Clinton or Harry Reid.

so where does this rank in terms of biggest point losses?

nice to see that a drop almost the size of black monday is a mere hiccup nowadays

you show me someone who is selling a 19.3% annual return for 30 years and i'll show you someone who should be in jail.

I was figuring 5-10% of a correction eventually (or just flat from here on out for a year). Looks like we will get he correction.
