o god... I was driving back to work from lunch, and I swear the shudders I felt running down my spine were from Jeff Ireland and Steven Ross declaring "It's Tebow Time!"

shudders as in OMGWTFBBQ?

or

HELL YA BABY!!!

I am kind of sad to see Tebow go. I hope that he stays on and maybe learns some tricks from Peyton. Guess that we will see.

If they can afford it... that would be ideal. I've been saying that manning needs to coach and Tebow would be a great student.

I still can't believe Denver is willing to give up a rising star for one about to burn out. What if manning gets hurt?

Something is fishy in mile high....I bet Archie is in the mix

Tebow is the interesting move now. Trade to Jacksonvile for Blaine Gabbert to learn under Manning? I don't think Tebow and Manning will be able to coexist. And yes San Diego fans Norv is still your coach no Super Bowl for U.

Elway hates Tebow. Ok maybe not hates, but *really* does not like him as a QB. He wants a pocket passer, traditional QB that he can build a conventional team around.

Yeah but for how many years? Dude is at the end of his ride. Elway knows that. They aren't going to pay him to wear a hat and carry a clipboard.... are they?

I love Tebow and everything he brings to the table. I love the attention he brought to the Broncos. But, this is a great move for the Broncos. It's hard to pass up on arguably the best quarterback in NFL history.

Tebow isn't a long term answer. His brain is a going to be a concussed pile neurogelatinous goo by the age of 30 with his current style. And he's just *not* a QB that's going to bring your team back against high scoring offenses. Even with a lot of coaching, that's not going to improve. There's no doubt he's a hard player, highly motivated, and an excellent teammate. There's no debating that. But he's not Manning. And never will be when it comes to slinging a football and running an offense.

Denver is taking little risk with Manning. They have two, maybe three years where they can make a legitimate SB run with a couple extra pieces (RB and better WR...although Manning can make studs out of scrubs there). For those couple years he's guaranteed to make up his salary in ticket sales, jerseys, tv contracts, ect. He was an instant bump in sales since he's such a branded commodity at this point in his career.

I'm just surprised.

I would have been less shocked to hear they signed Jason Kitna than Peyton Manning

I was hoping they'd keep Tebow on to learn from Manning for some years before the old guy retires, then Tebow may be good some day. Might be worth more trading him though. *shrugs*
This was my thought.

Season Tebow up with experience teacher.

nononnonono NO! Why? WHY go to Denver when the 49ers are STACKED and only need an elite QB to take them over the top?? Now I can't even root for him until Tebow is officially off the team, and even then I'll still have a sour taste in my mouth. But if Tebow somehow remains on the team as a backup I have no choice but to root against you, sorry Pey.

The 49ers was the best option as far as winning, but not a good fit for him. Picking Denver probably means its more about money and control than winning. I think the Broncos are gonna give him the keys to the kingdom...Harbaugh is more...intense. Plus, the 49ers and Giants will probably meet in the playoffs for the next few years, and he doesnt like competing with his brother. I would have thought the Jets would have been a nice fit as well, but he probably doesnt want to play Brady 2, and possibly 3 times a year.

I think they need to dangle Tebow out there for the best WR option available. A veteran would be best, but if some team is dumb enough to give them a high enough pick to draft someone like Michael Floyd they should go that route.

I would even take a pick that gets Hill or Randle.

On reflecting back on this last season, I think Denver's mayor needs to declare this "Curtis Painter Day" in Denver. Had it not been for Painter, the Colts would still have Manning for years to come.

Near as I can figure the only thing he brought to the table is god.

Still, I think this is a good move for the Broncos. They are a solid team and with Manning at QB they should be playoff contenders barring injury of course.

No way Tebow was going to have anywhere near the year he had last year again this year.

The Elway-Tebow relationship is the backstory that Denver fans will be buzzing about. It looked like Elway was hesitant to endorse him until the final few weeks of last season, and then it seemed forced and just for show.

There might be more fireworks if there is a blockbuster trade in the mix, rather than just scooting Tebow off to the highest bidder.

Too bad they were so slow on that. Jason Campbell would have been perfect. But the Bears snagged him up.

Not final until it's final, we'll see if he actually signs with Denver.

It seems like an odd choice to me, I don't see much of a team there. Eric Decker is a great WR but who can name any of the others on that team?

Plus if Peyton struggles the crowd starts chanting Tebow. If they trade tebow and manning doesn't do well, it will be a trainwreck of a situation.
