That schedule isnt any tougher than what were used to. Last year was just as difficult

Oops! Prayer backfire:

"Please Jesus, give me strength, I just want the Denver Broncos to have the best quarterback they possibly can."

That's what I thought but maybe there is something out there I am unaware of.

This sums it up pretty well

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d827b20bc/article/manning-cant-transcend-broncos-brutal-schedule?module=HP11_cp

This part in the article cracked me up: :D

"Face the facts. Peyton's coming back from injury, and he didn't take a single snap during the 2011 campaign. The rest of the team will take a little bit of time to gel with him. They'll get every opponent's best game, and the schedule is incredibly difficult. So I think they'll hover around 8-8 again, possibly 9-7. Tebow will be laughing in Jacksonville, saying, "Ha! We went 8-8 last season." Of course, in Jacksonville he'll be 3-13, but that will be a nice Christmas present for him."

I was really hoping he'd go to the Niners... Oh well. He better have a hell of a season next yet, but I imagine he'll play with a chip on his shoulder. "You're going to get rid of me for a rookie? I'll show you..." sort of mentality.

I have to say I'm very surprised, I was thinking the 49ers would be the most attractive situation for him, that division is awful and the defense is bad-ass, Frank Gore, good O-line, V.Davis/Crabtree/Moss (if anything is left)/Manningham, etc...

Denver has avg to poor RB's, pretty solid WR's - D.Thomas can be a stud, Decker, if healthy, is good - they need another 1 or 2 guys though - Dallas Clark would look nice at TE...O line is ok, defense should be pretty solid again

Tebow to Jacksonville is very likely, Blaine Gabbert looked terrible last season, and that would certainly put people in the stands

As for the San Diego/Denver spat - I wouldn't be too excited about Eddie Royal, losing Tolbert doesn't help, losing Jackson doesn't help, Gates is always a play away from his foot exploding on him..not to mention that Norv Turner is still their coach.

Posted it in the other thread but:

So the rumor I've heard is Manning wanted to wear #16, he won't wear #18... And well ya.. that kinda puts SF ass out haha.

I was hoping they'd keep Tebow on to learn from Manning for some years before the old guy retires, then Tebow may be good some day. Might be worth more trading him though. *shrugs*

Can you be more specific without the name calling? I am really interested in knowing the upgrades you speak of.

Jarret Johnson, the linebacker from Baltimore.
Robert Meachem, the wide receiver from New Orleans.
Atari Bigby, the safety from Seattle.
Eddie Royal, the wide receiver from Denver.
Le'Ron McClain, the fullback from Kansas City.

Plus we resigned Jared Gaither, Nick Hardwick, and Randy McMichael.

"Jarret Johnson, the linebacker from Baltimore. - Decent player - of course he was on the Ravens, with all the attention going to Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, their NT, Suggs, etc
Robert Meachem, the wide receiver from New Orleans - product of the Saints passing system, not a #1 receiver at all
Atari Bigby, the safety from Seattle. - avg player at best
Eddie Royal, the wide receiver from Denver - decent punt returner, very avg WR
Le'Ron McClain, the fullback from Kansas City - avg fullback, good blocker, not much else

Plus we resigned Jared Gaither, Nick Hardwick, and Randy McMichael."

If that's really what has you excited, you need to realize that overall, other than perhaps Johnson, you've not really made any improvements, right?

I'll say it again, also - Norv Turner is still your coach.

Titans - you also have Locker - your #1 pick from last year - Hass actually played pretty well for you last year - if Chris Johnson didn't go Chris Johnson last year and mail in the first 10 games, you would have won another game or two.

nononnonono NO! Why? WHY go to Denver when the 49ers are STACKED and only need an elite QB to take them over the top?? Now I can't even root for him until Tebow is officially off the team, and even then I'll still have a sour taste in my mouth. But if Tebow somehow remains on the team as a backup I have no choice but to root against you, sorry Pey.

I am kind of sad to see Tebow go. I hope that he stays on and maybe learns some tricks from Peyton. Guess that we will see.

I'd have become an instant Niners fan if he went there. Broncos? I just don't know. Either place is better than the Dolphins, though. I'd have hated for the Bills to face 2 of the greatest QBs of all time in a quarter of their games each season.

Instant upgrade, instant local controversy, instantly forgotten once Peyton steps on the field in Denver and kicks some AFC @ss.

No local controversy here. Every single person I've talked to, Tebow fan or not, approves of Peyton Manning.

o god... I was driving back to work from lunch, and I swear the shudders I felt running down my spine were from Jeff Ireland and Steven Ross declaring "It's Tebow Time!"
