So... where does it say in the DoI, or anywhere for that matter, that the lives of two men are worth more than one another's? And in what twisted world would you find people thinking that a car is worth more than a human life? There are people out there risking their lives for you RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE. There are people out there risking their lives for your petty opinion. There are people who have DIED for you to have your opinion. There are people who have DIED for someone's right to be innocent until proven guilty. There are hundreds of THOUSANDS of people who have DIED to be able to ensure that people like that little 15yr old would have the CHANCE to reform and become a better person.

And you're throwing it in their face, belitting their sacrifice, and showing that you really don't deserve to even live in this country.

I have served, have you? I believe you were ticked off about your job, why don't quit it and sign up to serve too? You may even change your thinking.

And in this case I don't think that kid would have been able to have been reformed.

I don't think its right what the man did. You should never kill someone who stole something from you. You should call the police and get him arrested.

Well, in the 10% chance that they catch him, he'll get off easily like he did the first time, and keep committing crimes because he has no reason not to. Now, if this kid had a buddy int he same business, and he saw what happened, then maybe he'd reform double-time.

Read and Comprehend. I didn't say that this particular car theft or any car theft is a death penalty case. I was just trying to point out that nothing is black and white, there are shades of gray. If ffm believes in the death penalty, but only for killing or maiming, what about treason which is punishable be death. This is more related to material belongings or knowledge. Should this be punishable by death?

Regarding treason, it depends on WHAT has been spread or reported... but do we really have to get into military laws in this discussion which concerns only civil laws and the shooting of a car thief? on the run? with people around? and someone starts shooting?

For the first time in my entire time on AT, I agree with classy. I do not condone what this man did at all.
