PASS INTERFERENCE.

Haha, the ref's on the field didn't think so. Besides, you'd been mugging me all day with that over the middle shit. Zach Thomas was in the huddle before that play and he said "I've had enough of this shit, I know what Favre's gonna throw and I'm taking that shit to the house!"

Berrian is damn fast

You think Berrian is fast. Try playing against the Bears. Devin Hester lit me up for 3 touchdowns last night. I'm lucky to have come away from that game with a win.

Should have been 4 if damn Rex didn't overthrow one. :)

I feel like a complete idiot. Haven't used a console in years. How the hell do I join the community? I looked all over dashboard and inside the Madden game. Someone enlighten me please. :disgust:

Ya, damn rex is right. I was trying everything I could to knock that asshole out of the game. I took him out for a few plays, but he came back. After going down 14-0 with those two bombs to Hester I swear I was ready to throw my controller through the TV.

My screams could be heard across the state after I went 3-and-out on those 2 redzone picks and like 4 punts. Also when you muffed that punt return and 4 of my guys somehow got beat out by 1 of yours for the ball.

And that one TO touchdown, I had you sacked and when I went to switch guys, it switched to the DB since you threw it already. So as I hit X to sack you, the DB dove and left TO wide open. The little things like that piss me off about the game.

Ya, I was cursing when I threw those redzone picks. I thought for sure I was going to let you get back into the game, I had all the momentum and then I just squandered it. As for that fumble, dude I was running in circles trying to pick up that damn ball. I couldn't believe I muffed it in the first place, I had called for a fair catch. Then I saw it on the ground and it was like freaking trying to catch a chicken in a small room. I was sooooo relieved when I finally grabbed it.

In Madden main menu - Xbox live->Online League -> Join a league. Enter ATFL for abbreviation.

That bothers me as well. And online with the little quarter-second lag, it happens even more. Maybe it's just me, but I found the "smart" player change to be much smarter for the PS2 versions circa 2004/2005. Quite often I go to quickly change a player and do a hit stick only to realize they switched me to a player barely on the screen.

Glithny and me just got done playing a hell of a game. He took the lead 17-14 with 38 seconds left in the game. I drove down to his 24 yard line and was attempting the game tying field goal with 4 seconds left and the damn game disconnected. Nothing counted :(

It was an intense game too, was looking forward to over time. We had both lost our starting running backs and he lost his second string running back too.

ducci, thanks. Signed up now. I don't know how I missed it. It seems to be a bit buggy though, I couldn't sign in earlier for some reason.

Yea that was so dissapointing that it just dropped the game, i was looking forward to overtime, even though i hate sudden death.

I beat myself once again by not running the ball at all in the middle of the game. Threw 4 picks in a row, awesome stuff.

It was a decent game. I had more passes for long gains than I usually do. Coles felt like running I guess.

I must confess, though. After the first quarter, I basically ran the same defensive play every down (just different formations) as you were basically running the same offensive play.

Cover 2 - hot route DB to man coverage on Hester - hot route LB to blitz if I had time. The big running gains were mainly because I was in the nickel/dime/quarter defense the entire game. It took care of Hester with the long ball and your TE/FB/HB (not sure which), in the short field. It's why I got 4 picks in a row.

The 2nd big TD you had in the 2nd or 3rd quarter to Hester was because I messed up the defensive hot route and set the defender to cover the flat instead of man coverage (stupid defensive hot routes are different in Madden than NCAA). Same thing happened when I played Cuda.

You need to add some timed, precision passes to your game and not just scramble around and throw a bomb to Hester.

Ric, I pretty much did exactly what Ducci said as well. Man coverage on Hester with a Cover 2 so I'd have at least 2 men on Hester everytime. I'd try to bring pressure from the outside with LB blitzes so you couldn't scramble as much. Your game was to predictable, I didn't even need to fear the run or really even the short ball. Toward the end of the game you started hitting me with a few short passes but it was far to late to make a big difference. If you add some variety to your plays you could really make Hester a major weapon. Once we know its coming to him everytime its easy to shut down.

but throwing to hester is fun :(

Yeah, I need to mix things up a bit and figure out how to play defense a little bit. I think I got 1-2 stops against Ducci that entire damn game, it was pathetic.

In both games I go up by 2 TD's early then get lazy and just bomb to Hester every time. Must stop doing that

You're in.

Ric-

If you get up by 14 early why don't you try to run the ball and enforce your will. It will cut down on turnovers and short fields for the opponent. It also would allow you to shorten the game with ball control offense.
