Madden 09 360 online league...

Paq - the way the league is setup is that you play every other team one time. Then the best teams go to the playoffs. For some reason they didnt give us the capability to create divisions or have a whole lot of say over our own schedule. It's not the best system in the world, but it could be worse.


Ric - I got your PM about him wanting the Pats, that's fine. PaulNEPats hasn't joined the league and I feel we've given people ample time to start joining now. I replaced his name with your friends.

ric beat my ass 🙂 i just kept throwing the damn ball into his hands, his FS had 3int and he had a total of 6 overall.


i managed to hit stick hester twice while going for a punt return, but alas he managed to pick it up again 😛

got owned by cuda

in the beginning i could get some drives going but couldnt finish them. also had a hell of a time getting the field goals and punts going due to the lag. was only my 2nd online game. Feel like I don't have enough of a deep threat with the Bills, and my play calling became really predictable. Couple that with the frustration of falling way behind early, and I started to make desperate throws that led to several INT's. Hoping to rebound from the loss and step it up the next game I face. Anybody want to play now?
 
Stepup, your offense wasn't that bad. You sustained drives very nicely. There was a nice 18mph wind so those field goals would be tough for anybody. As far as predictable goes, thats exactly it. I had a bend but don't break style defense going. I let you complete the underneath stuff here and there and was trying to for the turnovers. After awhile you stopped running completely so I stopped defending it. Its much harder to pass when the defense has 7 DB's instead of 4.

You really weren't totally outplayed though. The score looked bad, but you put pressure on my D plenty of times. Although, your defense didn't stop me at all, I think that was the biggest problem. Better luck next time though, its all in good fun.
 
question: when ric was bombing it to hester, the ball got soooo much hangtime, how do i get that with my qb? just double tap it or?

Yeah. I don't know what happened either. That was a good game though. We'll have to play again sometime!
 
I just played my friend (Beargame) - shut him out 34-0. His passing game needs some work - he's pretty funny, though. If you see him online drop him an invite.
 
anybody else experienced disconnects? i've started 4 games, and 3 have ended up a dc one way or another... im using cat5, so it's not like a wireless siginal is dropping... and it seems that it's the other player as i've had the opportunity to count as a win twice.

Yeah, I've had 2 games disconnect; one of those games was against you. I'm not sure how to tell who is the one who actually disconnected because both times I was given the option to count the game as a win. I wonder if the problem is with the EA servers, because I've had no similar issues in other games.
