i read that seasons 4, 5 and 6 are actually the same "length" as 2 seasons, ie - 48 episodes. to stretch it out to 3 more seasons they were going to have 16 episodes per season instead of the traditional 24.

Just a heads up, when Kate got that phone call in her dream, it was backwards talk, and it was jacks dad saying "The island needs you. You have to go back before it's too late"
Ok, I'm finally caught up. I missed the first 40 minutes yesterday, but managed to stream it from the local channel's website now. Episode was pretty damn good. Sucks to see Jin die like that, and lets not forget about the other 20 people still prepping on the deck. Also, Jack seemed like a bit selfish just leaving without Jin. By the looks of it, the copter probably could have still made it if they left later.
I thought the helicopter scene was funny. They wouldn't have made it even if the island was still there.

I agree with everyone else. One more season and that should do it. THE END. IT is getting old and the love stories suck. Sorry, they do. I hope I still have hte motiviation to wathc next season.

They moved it because Jacob said to do so. Seeing what Ben thinks of Jacob, it is the kind of thing that needs to be done ASAP.
So, to know the answer, you need to know who Jacob is. So there is no answer .... yet.

there is a good chance that may be true. He seems to orchestrate everything so that things happen the way they do. Him being Jacob would just be fitting in that what he wants done ultimately is always done on the island.
So why there is a character like Jacob, and why he has so much power on the island, and even why he is there to begin with and if there is a reason for him wanting things to go the way to do... these are questions that really drive the central plot of the show, imho. Everything else really falls into apart of the island and why the island is the way it is. Time travel, electromagnetism, cloning, smoke monster, the island's healing properties... all other things I want to know more about.
Personally, I'm happy the show has two more 'seasons' left, even though its only like 1.5 seasons. I don't want it to be over next year, it gives me a good show to watch through my last two years of school, although honestly, as long as they could keep introducing things, I would likely watch it for however long new episodes came out. I never lost interest even during the beginning of Season 3 when nothing was being answered and episodes were kind of flat in the scheme of things. I just like watching the characters interact with each other, and some of the more 'boring' episodes actually provide much needed time with the characters to let them grow a bit.

OK didnt we see Jin in a flash forward earlier this season, the one where he was running around with the big teddy bear?
I think "the others" pick him up as well as Daniel and the survivors that were on the way to the boat.
I dont' think freckles seeing claire in her dream is significant since it was her dream and normally the "missing" or "dead" people can just pop up out of nowhere. What was significant was the phone call and it sounded like sawyers voice. Is there a link anywhere to the audio yet?

you should know nothing in Lost is as clear as it may seem at first
this hearkens back to the episode its discovered that Hurley won the lottery with those numbers, and it all was made out to seem like the plane crashing was because of hurley's bad luck.
Bentham is a philosopher, yes, as is John Locke. However, that's not the end of the connections. They are ties between the two are well... they worked together or something...
but the writings of the philosophers are important in the show. What Bentham wrote about are pretty huge themes covered in the structure of the show, as are Locke's.
but how Locke is dead and why he's back Stateside is the big question that comes from that scene.

The Locke/Bentham link was so obvious... I was really hoping it was someone else. Just to throw yet another twist in there, heh.
Everyone seems to think that Sun blames Jack for Jin's death. I think Locke came and talked to her, and told her about how Ben stabbed that guy causing the boat to explode, so she blames Ben, which is why she has decided to work with Widmore.
