I got a 10 day key
Haven't started a character yet. Looks like a lot of AT members are on Gladden.
What race/class should I play? How much does race affect your character? What is a fun class? What about a good class for someone who may end up having to go solo a good bit?

Suprisingly enough Lore-Masters have been some of the most dominant soloers I have seen.
We have a guy in our Kinship who solo'ed all the way to 50. Not sure exactly how he did it, but he bragged about it quite a bit 😛 I guess having a pet helps and they do get certain spells that are very helpful for soloing (or grouping for that matter).
He had a video on Youtube of him soloing a level 50 elite when he was level 48. I can;t seem to find it now though...
Cheers,
KT

I have one as an alt I like the class quite a bit. I'm only at level 14ish with him, but good times so far.
I also really like having burgs in my fellowships for the fellowship maneuvers and other things, very handy. Another good thing is you can explore higher level areas without too much worry using your sneaking abilities.
Once I max out my captain, my burglar will be the next character I focus on.

Cool cool. I have my hunter who's my main. I love the class. Played it in Wow too. I was never really a big fan of the rogue class in WoW. It the Burg pretty close to the rogue? Whats your thoughts. Maybe i'll try it out.
I am of the Burglar and Burglars are nothing like Rogues. Rogues in WoW was just button mashing toe to toe fighting. A Burglar can do high brust DPS but after your opening chain we are all about the debuffs and Fellowships Moves starters and we are good at Crowd Control. If you like to Solo a lot then the Burglar is for you I have done quests the groups have had issues with. It's all about being sneaky not fighting, you sneak thought things when groups have to fight their way in with high evade and Touch and go on (+%50 to edvade) no one can touch you. At lvl 40 you can just about take on any elite mob of +2 lvl above you if you play it right. So if you liked being a Combat/DPS rogue in WoW you'll hate the Burglar.

Going to roll on Gladden later this week with one of my friends. What two classes are in the greatest demand for people that want to group on that server?
(Btw, thanks Keith for the key and my friend sends his thanks JBT!)

Hey KeithTalent, thanks for the key. Had played a hunter in beta till... 22 or 24 or something, so I was familiar with how everything works. I'm almost level 13 with my Minstrel, Tegeril - and I added your characters as friends.

I don't think I'm going to play after the trial period. there's just nothing there that makes me want to keep playing. its pretty much the same standard mmorpg stuff in every other game.

So does that mean you are going to stop playing MMORPGs all together?
Or is there 1 in particular that you are waiting for?

Looking forward to Age of Conan, mainly because I'm a Conan fan though.
