Lord of the Rings Online Thread (old)

Must be a good deal of people testing it, taking forever to create the beta account, reminds me of WoW on a regular night when trying to login.

It gets better, there are like 22 updates once you get it installed and they are large.

I just got finished with the 22 major updates, now it says that there are 975 minor ones to download 🙁

i just logged in, It didn't mention anything about 22 major updates or 975 minor updates. But I also have to wait until thursday 8pm est to log into the game.

Genetics yes, O-Chem no...good lord did I hate O-Chem.

Can anyone download and test it? My dinner just got cancelled tonight so I am up for some gaming!

It's a closed beta, so you can't just download the client and play it. I got my invite last week but haven't had time to fool around with it. I created an account last night and ran the install this morning before I went to work so I hope to get a feel for it when I get home late tonight.
 
Ok, just submitted my application.

Now we play the waiting game...or maybe Hungry Hungry Hippos...

im in line waiting for people to log in. i guess the world is full. I'm in the queue position 3007 🙁. This can take awhile.
 
Got my character (Dwarf Warrior) created. As soon as I tried to leave the starting area the server went boom, though.
 
Created my character, played through the first zone, then got booted. Anyone else having audio problems? Or is there not much sound in there to begin with, also, anyone else notice the animations are very jerky, or is it just my system lagging?
 
The LAG my god the LAG sniff such a good looking game but the LAG did I mention the LAG?


Quest objects need to spwan more and alot of quest are bugged but it is moving in the right direction

Anyone else have thier main toon lock up on the loading screen?
