No issues getting on today.....first impressions are positive....kinda WoW like in the way the world looks. Anyway, NDA folks so you'll have to beat the info outta me!

My download kept breaking last night (very frustrating :frown: ), so I started it again this morning and it will hopefully be done by the time I get home from work tonight.

Very interested to try this.

Hadsus, Vanguard is certainly interesting, I got in a while back - the system requirements are steep...though it looks like your system would do pretty well.

Yeah, I figure my rig will be able to handle just about anything.....one of the benefits of having a new rig updated with the good stuff. In a few months, I'll probably be playing minesweeper. ;)

My rig is handling LOTR just fine and the graphics look great at WS resolution. I was just thinking today while playing LOTR that WS is ideal for MMORPGs....not just because WS is such a natural way of looking at the virtual world but because you often have a buncha windows/tool bars opened up and WS handles that stuff great.

This whole MMORPG thing is so strange to me. I feel like I am just kind of randomly running around doing nothing, sort of like real life I guess.

Maybe it will just take me a little while to get used to this type of game.

Hey has anyone gotten their Beta 2 invite yet? I thought the servers were supposed to be back up starting last night, but I have not received an e-mail with any new information.

Thanks,
KT

I've been reading the official forums.....someone mentioned that a limited number have already been sent out to the chosen few with the experience, in game time, etc. I'm in the same boat as you.

This is unfortunate, I was hoping to get in there over the next couple of days.

Guess I will just have to wait patiently with my fingers crossed.

It looks like Turbine forgot to run an AntiVirus scan before they released this build:

(Thank you Kaspersky)

Let us hope that this is just a false positive.

Apparently it is. I got the same thing, but checked the Beta forums and it should be ok.

NOD32 didn't pick up on anything. I disabled it during install so I wonder if that has anything to do with anything.

Lotsa server issues yesterday.......everyone would stop moving then you get kicked. Well it's a beta afterall.

How do you get into the beta? Just have to register then cross your fingers. I know that at least once in the past they were giving out buddy keys but not since I've been involved.

NOD32 not seeing it makes me feel more like it is a false positive, that is what the people on the turbine forums are saying. They REALLY need to work on making it not look like a virus to the herustics.

Congrats man! Don't post too much info though, would not want you to get in trouble for violating NDA.

Feel free to PM if you have any questions or anything.

Cheers,
KT
