You think I'm trolling? In the UK if you grabbed the bad guy's gun, and used it on him, you would go to jail.

English Law also states the use of "proportionate force" and the illegality of superior force. So the vaugeries are ripe for the plucking in court.

In any case, just watch the English courts over the next few months. I'm confident my point will be proven.

Believe me, all of England are glad that we don't have legal gun laws now there would be a lot of dead people if we did! If these rioters had guns, this would be 1000x worse.

Well it's coming to the states here very soon (we've had a glimpse of it, they're getting bold), make sure you're prepared.
Well this is part of the reason I live in the suburbs and thus I'm frankly immune to it, at least around my neighborhood. And I never go into the city where this kind of thing could happen :)

You cannot possibly speak for all of England. You may be glad, but I'm sure I can find many people from Britain who wish they were more easily able to get guns.

Anyway, cops with guns is not the same as the average joe with guns. Cops in England can already get full-auto if they need it. There is a clear unwillingness to use suppression, reasonable force by the cops and that's why the world is watching as now five days of chavs forcing police into retreat and flash mobs rove around stealing things.

IIRC that's not even correct. Those MP5s and G36s that you frequently see UK firearms officers with are all semi-auto. No burst, no full auto. In order to minimize the chances of collateral damage.

And hey, if what touched these riots off was a firearms officer firing 2 rounds from an MP5, instantly killing the suspect, it looks like they don't need full auto.

"Did you say nasty words to him yet?"
"Yes, we did"

"No, they didn't"

is it alright I've started using the word Chav? I was at the grocery store, waiting for my friend to pull around, and their were several loud young people conversing. Several swear words came from their mouths, and how I got them to leave was by offering to help to elder ladies load their groceries. After I loaded them and turned my back to my cart and wait, the chavs had disappeared like dust into the wind. The best cure for a chav is basic manners, show them and Chav's will disappear.

This is a great article, and from the UK:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/ar...ed-youths.html

Quote:
Years of liberal dogma have spawned a generation of amoral, uneducated, welfare dependent, brutalised youngsters...They are illiterate and innumerate, beyond maybe some dexterity with computer games and BlackBerries.
They are essentially wild beasts...
Another:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukne...-of-order.html

Quote:
To understand the cause of these riots, we need to accept that the police ceded control of the streets to the criminals decades ago.

Yeah with close to 40% of GDP going to tax, you'd think UK has an excellent social/safety net to provide for everyone. But apparently even with that much money going to social programs, people still won't be satisfied. It could even cause problem with people on social programs having too much time on their hands and wanting to have more.

Maybe something for the liberals in this country pushing for more Tax, more social program to think about?

The above echos exactly why I've told people that nobody thugs like kids in Britain. I've felt this before these riots, though. A special kind of thugs exists there, a really nasty kind of carefree scumbag.

ever heard of south central? Harlem? the whole fucking city of Detroit and so on...

life in a glass house, bro

I think it's some sort of transference thing.

Keep concentrating on other people's problems that you have no control over and ignore your own ones that you can do something about.

In other news, Amazon UK says the sale of Aluminum bats is increased 6000%.

No, you guys stole it and turned it into some crappy version called 'Cricket'.

I kid. I am an American, after all.

I wouldn't describe cricket as crappy, after all its one of the few team sports where they stop for tea and/or beer. :p

Test cricket is bizarrely complicated for a game that basically involves someone throwing a ball at someone else and them trying to hit it as hard as they can. o_O

My Next door neighbour works in the group that delt with that 'fellow'. They have access to a veritable arsenal of weapons, and the training is intense. If anyone is going to hit the mark, it'll be CO19.

Strange you ignore the meat of my post and go over a subjective observation instead. I'm not the one who needs to live in that country.

Cricket came first, by a long way, we were playing cricket before your country existed.

You guys stole rounders and turned it into baseball.

I take it from your post you stop reading before the second line.

So I can discuss your perversion with sexually abusing puppies in this line and you won't notice.

How did that happen? I thought gun control stopped gun violence.

huh? if they had guns the death toll would be insane! dont be so simple as to say gun control is gonna resolve economic issues. The people are poor and cant afford to live in London, hence these riots.

It's got nothing to do with being poor, infact unemployed and people with disabilites etc... get their housing paid, free dental care, poll tax paid and benefit's money wise to live on to name a few things.

It's mindless thugs that like to do copy cat riots...end of the day police need to get tougher with these thugs.

On the contrary, here in America if riots were minutes away americans would be seconds from their weapons. The simple fact remains is these thugs wouldn't be able to get away with it after we started shooting them. Seeing their buddies drop from a gaping chest would tends to stop their motivation.
