Pineapple Express 4/10 meh. I don't find Seth Roegen funny
Max Payne 4/10 I understand the game made a lot of money, but this is not where they should have put the money.

Dead like Me : Life after Death 6/10 kindda weak plot wise. Changing actors for characters didn't help. I really liked the original Daisy.

Saw Jackie Brown the 1st time several days ago. It's absolutely great (own the DVD). 10/10

Saw No Country for Old Men last night, 1st time also. Extremely well made but seriously flawed movie, IMO. Some people think it's all but perfect, though, so YMMV. 8/10

New Daisy didn't work with her being so simple and single layered. Laura Harris just looked the part, and made her so Daisy complex. Miss Rube too, but it was nice to see George and Reggie together in so many scenes.

Like I said, weak script. They could have done a lot more with Cameron and Daisy but chose to turn it into a George and Reggie fest.

WRONG!

The story was good if you can handle artsy fartsy stuff and are tired of all the Hollywood crap we've had for the past 10 years. If you can get into what the guy is talking about its actually a pretty good movie. Then the nudity doesnt seem gratuitous at all, its central to the plot.

Along those lines, I'm also amazed it only got an NC-17. That much up close stuff I figured would be an automatic X. I guess it has to be sexual for an X rating. Almost nothing in that movie was sexual.

Unrelated:

Caffiene and Waiting are both good. Better plots and less gratuitous nudity.

Layer Cake - 9.5/10 - I really enjoyed it. Had no idea it existed until the day I saw it. Stars Daniel Craig as a drug-dealer. Definitely worth watching.

Death Race - 4/10 - I thought it was going to be bad, and it was. A million explosions, no real story.

Snatch - 8.5/10 - Great movie. Really funny at times. I don't know about other people, but I had a really hard time understanding everyone's accent in the movie. Especially Brad Pitt and the rest of the gypsies. I downloaded subtitles for the movie.

Religulous - 7/10 Bill Maher wasn't too over the top in my opinion. He could have interviewed a few more intelligent people for better discussions, rather than the over the top extremists. Didn't learn anything from the movie because I already agree with him, but was pretty entertaining still

Changeling - 5/10. Didn't believe the time frame, story wasnt too cohesive, Angelina Jolie was kind of irritating.

Choke - 4/10. High hopes for this one, and fell really short. I laughed maybe... 3 times? Just wasnt too impressed.

The Ruins - 3/10
I expected this to be a stupid horror movie, but I also expected it to be scary and it wasn't. It only gets a 3 because a hot chick spends a lot of time in her underwear and shows us her ass a few times.

Body of Lies - 8/10
A little slow at times, and a few plot holes, but overall, a really good movie.

Gran Torino - 10/10
Personally, I think Clint got screwed by the Academy. This was easily the best movie I've seen in a couple years. I loved the subtle humor and found myself laughing a lot more than I expected to.

Jurassic Park - 8/10
My kids hadn't seen this, so I bought the trilogy and we watched the first one yesterday. Still a great all around adventure movie. Classic Spielberg.

Tropic Thunder - 8/10
Seem like comedy is the genre where people's opinions vary more than any other. I loved this movie and laughed my ass off. Tom Cruise was the highlight.

Journey to the Center of the Earth - 2/10
How Brendan Frasier has a career is simply beyond my comprehension. My kids enjoyed watching this, so it gets 2 points. But this was one of the worst movies I've seen in a very long time.

Righteous Kill - 5/10
Not terrible, just mediocre. And for a cop movie starring DeNiro and Pacino, I expected much more.

Taken - 8/10
Yeah, it was predictable. But I've always been a fan of movies that feature a bad ass dude going on a killing spree to save someone or get revenge.

Max Payne - 6/10
Kinda stupid, but I still enjoyed it for the whole "killing spree for revenge" thing.

Still Waiting... - 6.5/10 - I can barely remember the first one, but this one was alright to some degree. I found it amusing when the movie finally had some nudity in it. It made me think that they watched the movie and said "wait wait... there's no boobies!? Who's going to watch this?" So they added that "look at my titties!" scene in after that. Although I have to agree with the red head... they weren't too bad :p.

Occasionally hilarious. Thoroughly offensive. Dave Foley's penis.
Worth watching once just for the novelty.

Compared to most Uwe movies, it wasn't that bad... or at least that's what I thought. It was fucking crazy and had no real point (for the most part), which is actually a lot like the game.

Nick and Nora's Infinite Play List- 7/10
I thought it was overly emo, which is annoying. I watched it because I <3 George Michael Bluth. Otherwise, it was okay over all, with some good music and amusing moments.

I'd rather watch it for Nora ;). Kat Dennings also looked fine in Charlie Bartlett.

meet bill - 7/10 - kind of funny. i should give it another -1 for having Jalba work in a victoria's secret type store and not even showing her in any hot lingerie.

step brothers - 7/10 - I'm not sure why I rented this as most Will Ferrel movies suck ass. This one actually surprised me. Don't get me wrong, it was completely retarded as movies go, but i thought it was pretty funny.

Jack Nicholson, The Last Detail.

Nicholson in his pre-Chinatown days.

him and another Navy guy get to escort a convicted co-worker to the brig & decide to
show the kid a good time on the way, in classic Nicholson style.

full of classic Nicholson lines, e.g. "you know what i like about Navy uniforms ? it makes your dick stand out".

only Jack could pull that off.

Changeling: 10/10 one of the best movies I've seen in a while. Only movie besides Once were Warriors to move me emotionally.

Stalag 17 9/10

Great movie with a good plot, great acting, and very enjoyable. That one fat guy that saw Betty Grable everywhere got a little annoying after a while but everything else was great.
