Seems like a pretty nifty site but I'm not entirely sure I'd pay a monthly subscription just to know my chances of winning when someone else agrees to even play Amumu, since while effective can be very boring.

The most interesting fact that I see on there is the build cost/efficiency numbers. Nice to know that the Mundo for instance either spent very little on pots or wasn't helping the team as much as he could have with wards/oracles.

For sure. I want to see how the stats progress over the course of a month's worth of games before I decide if I want to renew or not.

My big question is, where are they getting these stats? I am assuming the stats are available somewhere for free (maybe just not all nice neat and tidy).

For sure, they don't have any special info, just a well designed website and people who obviously know stats. lolking, lolmatches, lolstats have a lot of this stuff in a rough form. No where near as well maintained or as deep as this.

I'd definitely use their site if they were free to use like the others, and just had some ads to generate money. Lots of cool features but nothing I'd probably want to spend money per month for.

the game seems harder to get into, despite its "casual" playstyle, or is it just me..

There is a big learning curve. People who have played other MOBAs like HoN or Dota tend to pick it up quickly but if you haven't played a similar game it does take time.

Summoners!

In the next patch we’ll be rolling out some changes to the art of Summoner’s Rift aimed at bringing low and mid spec players better aesthetics as well as overall graphical performance. The next time you take to the Fields of Justice, you may notice a few new and improved visuals.

Some of the enhancements include:

Better game performance at low and mid spec.
Updated textures across Summoner’s Rift.
Improved animations on many of the monsters, including the Ancient Golem, the Lizard Elder and, of course, Baron Nashor.
A new, animated shopkeeper to service all of your champion’s item purchases.




This is another improvement aimed at helping you continue to get the most out of your time playing League of Legends.

We’ll see you all out there on the Fields of Justice, summoners!

edit: Also they're revamping the Ashe skins. Amethyst Ashe now has purple tinted frost arrows and ECA.

I have that skin! I love bonuses. Their current skins have really stepped their game up. I can't even remember the last time a "recolor" came out.

These performance updates will be good. I do have a slight problem with performance in this game, namely that my GPU often underclocks itself while playing, I still keep 60 FPS, but if a team fight beaks out and crap starts blowing up, I can drop enough that I notice it until my GPU clocks back up. Its pretty rare though, not a big problem, just goes to ~40.

Nautilus is free wins. If you haven't jumped on the train yet its a good time to get on. Jungle or bot lane support, he brings too much to the team to leave unpicked.

I find him the opposite of boring. Dredgeline is really satisfying, his passive is mentally engaging as you want to keep countdowns for everyone in team fights, his Ult is very useful and W and E help him stay in fights forever. A boring hero to me is like Udyr who just toggles stances and autos, or Amumu who blows his load and runs next to people.

Normal Draft Mode
Normal draft has changed so that premade groups are not prioritized over solo players
Solo players have a 20% chance of being the team captain with banning powers and first pick, regardless of the premade status of the rest of the team
If a solo player is not team captain, the player will be given a random slot in the pick order
If players group up before a game, their host absorbs all of their chances, i.e. the host of a 4-man premade has an 80% chance to be captain
Ranked Solo/Duo Queue
The Free to Play rotation has been removed from Ranked Solo/Duo Queue
Unlocked Champions that appear on the Free to Play rotation will still be playable
You may now rename your buddy groups by double-clicking the name of the group
Fixed a bug where some buddies would appear to be level 0 with no information

Darius, the Hand of Noxus

Hemorrhage (Passive) - Darius aims his attacks strategically, causing his target to bleed. This effect stacks up to five times.
Decimate - Darius swings his axe in a wide circle. Enemies struck by the blade take more damage than those struck by the shaft.
Crippling Strike - Darius's next attack severs a crucial artery. As the target bleeds out, their movement and attack speeds are slowed. Crippling Strike's cooldown is lower the more bloodied the target.
Apprehend - Darius hones his axe, granting him passive armor penetration. When activated, Darius sweeps up his enemies with his axe's hook and pulls them to him.
Noxian Guillotine (Ultimate) - Darius leaps to an enemy Champion and strikes a lethal blow, dealing true damage. This damage increases for each stack of Hemorrhage on the target. If Noxian Guillotine is a killing blow, its cooldown is refreshed.
