Honestly this is where I am a States Rights guy. While I think the idea is farcical, if LA wants to put time, resources and effort into enforcement that’s their choice.
I have no idea how you’d prevent someone from using a vpn or simply using any other state license number but whatever if that’s what they want have a good time with it.

Lets face it.... how many people would even be willing to search for most of the topics that (per Google!) constitute the "most searched for" pron-topics if they were then forced to "register" prior to viewing and tie those searches directly and undeniably to their credit-rating?

Given this is P&N I'll let everyone do their own search FOR said terms rather than posting a link.

;)

Can you show me where LA is enforcing this?

Seems more like a business restriction.

does the verify process require a redirect to LA's id.gov page?

I do think it should be harder for minors to access porn, just not sure what the solution is.

People wanting to ban porn altogether are just so unevolved that they should all move to Texas and secede and let the rest of the country continue to evolve.

The people screaming about parents rights should, you know, start exercising them. Like the right to educate your child on what the internet is, and how it's not a playground. Maybe American's should start telling their kids no, and train up on appropriate use of technology.

But no, the conservatives once again show that they're 100% OK with a nanny state, it's their game plan the whole time.

Why is porn legal at all? We need to get that smut of the internet.

Why not? It is just acting, as long as all party are consensual, get paid and all the safety I have np with that. If I - and everyone here - have np accessing nude material/weeds/alcohol pre internet there is no fking way it can be stop now unless you go great wall of China.

I am ok with as long as all government employees who have a “porn id” are listed on a state website for all to see.

It doesn't matter that the law is impossible to enforce. Like so much about conservative politics these days, it's performative. Look, we're doing something to fight sin! While the people who passed the law are probably perverts and molesters in their spare time.
