Ohman… I can't imagine unaware/newb users going on that site or any other porn site on a cell phone/mobile device. Yikes, the pop-ups, pop unders, spam links, etc…

That device would be unusable in a week.

Hypothetical scenario:

I engage my Express VPN and go on porn hub from Kentucky. It passes their age check.

Does porn hub make me turn off my ad blocker?!?! 😉

Guys I have an idea, let’s make our own VPN and sell it. We can call it the FU browser extension (Fully Universal) and name the company AT.
Not a corporate grade VPN but a porn grade VPN.

This was my thought. VNP VPN, the very naughty protocol.

"Technically Inclined?" Really?

It is pretty simple to use a VPN and spoof your location.
So simple a caveman could do it.

We have posters on this forum that don’t understand what DNS is or how it works

So stop projecting

Let's do it. Anytime a Trump voters pays for our VPN, that money will be immediately funneled to the local opposition candidate of their local GQP shithead.

Sure it's simple. For someone who posts on a tech message board.
And in the grand scheme of computer things it's not all that hard, no.
But how many people want to jump through that extra hoop and pay the extra $$?
Like voter ID for them - adding a few extra useless regulations is no big deal... They're not the ones who will be inconvenienced. Or they are in the in group, so their rights shouldn't be trampled...

Not sure how we’d know that but I’m game.
Hell I am good with running small ad campaigns and I absolutely can grind out calls to various vendors and such.

I keep waiting for the parental rights activists to jump in and fight the over reach of government but alas.

In the bill: “ Websites that fall under the requirement include any that distribute material that is more than one-third “harmful to minors.””

Harmful to minors seems very vague and unenforceable. One could argue that the way social media companies feed content is harmful to minors.

I would even argue the long term effects are much worse than seeing boobies on the internet.

That is correct. Porn is the least of our problems (well, at least softcore porn. Hardcore has more potential to mess someone up). Some people watch porn and go, oh wow. That is crazy and then get on with doing something else. Some go nuts and obsessively watch/collect it. There was this guy who once showed me his huge collection (not all of it. I think he played one video clip and there were like a thousand others) and he was talking to me weirdly, like giving me hints that we can watch it together and spend more time with each other. Needless to say, I excused myself rather quickly and never entered his home again. He had a problem.

Being honest I truly feel this falls under a states rights kind of thing. Stupid implementation but whatever.
