So you think the Broncos would blow a 24 point half time lead once again, and lose in OT again, to a team that had a healthy Gronkowski and was IN FOXBOROUGH. Yea, OK. I'll not make the same mistake again saying the Broncos would win the game for sure, but I definitely like my Broncos chances against NE again in Denver.

It isn't that I think Denver can't win. Their defense is just so bad that I have a hard time placing faith in them and with Miller gone, it is going to be much harder for them.

The Broncos have gotten better since that game, and aren't playing Ronnie Fumble'man anymore and also Montee Ball has looked to have shed his fumblitis. NE on the other hand have lost critical pieces since that game.

I want the Broncos to win the SB (assuming the Colts don't). I'm just so underwhelmed by their defense that I think someone is going to beat them.

I like Lovie Smith. Think he's a great coach. He'll need a strong offensive coordinator though since he's primarily a defensive coach. The problem with him going to Detroit is Matthew Stafford doesn't exactly seem motivated to try to improve. Stafford got his coach Gym Shorts fired and didn't exactly seem remorseful of his own or the team's performance. That's why if Lovie goes to Detroit, he's going to need a strong offensive coordinator.

Looks like Lovie is heading to the Bucs.

The Lions desperately need to hire Marty Schottenheimer IMO. He'd have them in the playoffs his first year and at the top of the NFC in his second or third.

i feel like philly is getting jinxed by all this talk of the saints not being able to play in the cold...

Don't know, this weekend all of the cold weather sites are going to be facing sub-zero brutal cold and wind. I think SF, NO and SD may have some difficulties dealing with it, especially NO.

No jinx man - we're playing with house money. I reminded myself of what I expected before the season began as well as before the last game vs. Dallas. Winning the division (esp against Dallas) and getting a home playoff game is payoff enough.

Our secondary vs. Brees and co was always going to be pretty brutal.

<hope the above anti-jinx worked>

You having a flashback to 2002 Bucaneers? People said the same about them until they beat Philly at the NFC Championship game in below freezing temps on their way to winning the Super Bowl.

I don't know why you guys think SF would be unprepared for the weather at Lanbeuax. Have you ever been to SF? The weather here isn't that great--it's usually really foggy, can be chilly at game times, and it does rain at the end of the season.

They are used to playing in chilly wet conditions.

Think the Packers were happy with this announcement?

Cutler signs a 7 year deal.. NFC North has gotta be happy. :p

Sure, just like how AFC East was going to be happy with Mark Sanchez being signed to a long-term deal by the Jets. Now Buttfumble is an almost certain cut in the coming months.

That's great news, Jay Cuntler is an elite NFL QB. The Bears were wise to lock him up super-long term.

I'm glad the Cutler deal got done so soon.

The only thing that should have been done sooner was firing Tucker to give the new OC as much time as possible to set things up before the draft. I have to assume the Bears will pick defensive players withe the first few picks of the draft. It wouldn't surprise me if every pick was a defensive player, except maybe someone like Aaron Murray or Zach Mettenberger as a late round developmental pick.

If the Bears had let Cutler walk and signed Vick I really would have thrown up.

heh 40-50 degrees and some drizzle <> -2 degrees. Lambeau will be testicle shattering cold, and getting tackled is going to hurt much more.

The Pack are practicing outdoors in the cold this week, they will be used to it. SF will not.

as a Packer fan, I will be LOL if they blackout the game. You can't ask for better fans than GB, but the team has brought this upon themselves.

Expanding Lambeau to 80,000+ seats (3rd biggest in NFL) although in the smallest market. Despite these logistics the Packers are still selling out.

jerking season ticket holders around big time. They sent a mailing out back in Nov immediately after the Detroit drubbing requiring season ticket holders to pay for and book their potential playoff tickets then. They also changed policy that if you pay for a playoff ticket and the team does not make the playoffs, you do NOT get a refund! Well what did they expect, most season ticket holders trashed their form and did not pay for playoff tickets that at the time looked extremely doubtful.

The weather, cold hard metal bleachers in the entire lower bowl at Lambeau, extreme negative temps with wind chill, really a person would be stupid to go to that game even if they love the team.
