Yea - I'm like level 9 and nearly every point has gone into detect hidden. I can now see hidden doors!

I have a real problem with the camera; at times when I'm on bridges and other high area with spaces underneath the camera will frequently become confused and drop below me so I can't see anything i'm fighting. This is very annoying. I'm still early in the game (I guess aruond 10 hours) but right now I'm leaning towards a 5/10 overall. It is fun enough to keep playing but not really a great time. The maps are kind of bleh; the invisible wall model is also a bit annoying. I sort of equate this game to skyrim like I equate medal of honor to call of duty (this comment is in regards to the map structure only). I have a strong dislike for hidden wall; and much prefer the freedom to go anywhere.I want to walk off a mountain that is my business (even if it means a rather ughly splat in the end).

There is just something missing from this game (earlier I referred to it as heart) but nothing really generated much excitement to move things forward (skyrim suffered from this too). In RPG arena I much prefer dragon age/dks/witcher 2 story telling to move things forward than the open sandbox approach where you have little relevance to the world you traverse.

I'm not unhappy I purchased the game but I will likely not buy another along the same vein. I.e, there are better games out there.
I understand what you mean about the invisible wall model. It's also a bit annoying how I can't jump within the game. It's not game breaking by any means, but I always feel restricted when I can't utilize the Z aspect of the game. If I want to jump off a cliff to my death I should be allowed to, lol.
And open world/sandbox isn't for everyone. I personally grew to love the gametype because I could often stretch the game out however long I wanted as opposed to having a stricter plot line that starts forcing a player to the end game.
That being said, although I would rate the combat somewhere around a 7-8, the world just doesn't capture my interest within Amalur as Skyrim did for me. Everything feels rather stale. Or maybe I'm burned out after pulling 70+ hours on Skyrim and jumping on this game within a month of playing that.
