Not a big fan of fried chicken of any kind to be honest.

I find this sentence difficult to comprehend.

Not sure what to tell you, I have just never found fried chicken that I really loved. I mean it's ok, but I would pick a dozen other methods of cooking chicken before fried.

KT

Now, do you specifically mean deep fried chicken? I find it to be really good fried in a skillet with some vegetable oil and seasonings. Mix it with some rice and veggies. More broth and less rice and now you have soup, if you'd like it that way. I ate that a lot in college.

KFC wins on the flavor of the batter while Popeye's wins on freshness. But in reality, very few fried chicken places have a unique recipe/taste to offer like KFC.

I take it you have never tried fried chicken before. This is really sad.

u no how lot of ppl get off crack in crack cure hospital? they give them kfc instead when they cry for drug. i also heard that kfc recipe also put on golden disk that was sent to space.

I love friend chicken but I'm too cheap to go to KFC or Popeye's or any other place like that. I just go to the local supermarket and get it for really cheap. It's not as good but you can get a lot more for a lot less.

Yes, deep fried specifically. I love chicken in general and cook it all the time, it's just the deep fried stuff that doesn't do it for me.

Brown's is better, but it's good.

Fixed that for you.

I had Popeye's for the first time in 10 years after moving here and while it was alright, it wasn't as good as Brown's or KFC.

i've had roscoes just to get in on all the hype and was severely disappointed. The chicken came out all dry and overfried, tiny pieces, waay overpriced, and the gravy wasn't even that good. The drinks were good though (eclispe). People mainly go there for the historic/nolstalgic aspect.

I can't agree with the reason you think people go there, every location stays packed. And as you said it's not cheap. You might have just had bad luck the time you went. I honestly think the Chicken's whatever. It's not bad, but it's not my favorite. I myself go for the Waffles, which are absolutely the most delicious Waffles I've ever had. And the Chicken tends to be pretty decent.
