I sure as hell don't taste the so called 11 herbs and spices in KFC chicken.

It's all been a sham! I can taste all of the flavors in Dr. Pepper.

There was that one transcendant moment in 1968 when I could clearly discern 10 of them.

But all 11? No, sadly, no. 🙁

Popeye's is better, but it's good.

Last time I had it, Popeye's was a nasty mess of extremely greasy flavorless grossage. KFC > Popeyes.

1968? Are you sure those weren't colors you were tasting?

US KFC sucks shit. Nasty nasty nasty stuff. I haven't been there in years, do they offer the super delicious seasoned fries like they do in Australia/NZ?

Find a place that sells Broaster Chicken and give that a try. Haven't been back to KFC since I first tried it.

Lol, that's a huge blast from the late 50's/early60's for me, when it used to be boasted about at a ton of small, independent "fast food" places.

For some reason, South Jersey past the areas right near Pa. border was/is more resistant to major fast food chains than most, and sported/sports far more independent versions of chains like Dairy Queen and the fast food burger/chicken joints.

They were/are big on "Broasted".

I was in search of the legendary 12th spice. And, yes, there were "performance enhancers" involved.

OMG pioneer chicken is by far the best fried chicken ever. i'm talking another level above the other's. They went out of business, but there is one independent one in LA and I go there whenever i get a chance.

Well Pioneer is so small and only a couple places so you really can't compare them. It's really good chicken and I regularly go to the one in Bell Gardens.

I like KFC's biscuit. The KFC chicken around here is pretty consistent, but I don't do it often. Maybe 1 or 2 times a year.

Their Slaw is goooooooood! I remember tryin the Slaw at Popeyes and being flabbergasted by the chopped up pickles in it.

I also love the Popcorn Chicken, I might have to go tonight and get some Popcorn Chicken, 3 biscuits and a family sized Cole Slaw.
