Huh.... I imagined an incredibly large oil spill. But a third of a pool makes it seem like nothing.
No spill is unimportant, but there's times it sounds so huge that there can be no recovery. The oil companies need to clean the spill, find out exactly why it happened, reimburse the land owners, really clean up the damn spill and take actual steps to prevent it from happening again.

Depends where it ends up. The Enbridge diluted bitumen spill into the Kalamazoo river was the costliest onshore spill (up to around $1.5B) in US history while it was larger at 800K gallons. It probably still isn't sufficiently remediated.

"Crews shut down the pipeline Thursday morning and officials are investigating the cause of the leak."

What did the eco-terrorist group Greenpeace have to say about the cause of the leak?

Well done. So every terrorist attack in America from now to eternity we can blame on fundamentalist right wing extremists. No need to investigate, just make the assertion and it is true.

Seriously dude, you really think this pathetic level of trolling is the least bit interesting?

If you had read some of the various links, including the one about the 2 eco-terrorist women who confessed to sabotaging that same pipeline in that same general area earlier, it would make more sense to you.

I will make you a deal. If this turns out to be eco-terrorism, I will acknowledge on this thread that you were correct. If it is not. I would like you to acknowledge that fact. It is bothersome when assertions are made and when those assertions are proven incorrect, no acknowledgement is given. It makes the person making the claims seem dishonest.

OK, i'll gladly make that promise. It's not as if i'm always right, or even on the right for that matter. Happy Thanksgiving.

leaking yet again, and i wonder why the reservation did not want it on their land

I hate this crap.
My sister and her husband (Choctaw) actually went and protested. She said it was beyond anything she's ever experienced or been a part of (and she's done a lot in her life). She explained how moving the experience was for her and what a horrible situation it was.

But hey... cheap gas! Right?!?

While spilt oil is a disaster having it occur over land is better than for it to occur at sea. My hope is that we would advance beyond oil as a source of energy for transportation and industry but too many people, mainly republican interests, prosper from it making change difficult.

Increase our population and poison our waters. America's current trajectory is a... fascinating one.

"The 2017 spill was probably rooted in a crack caused by a vehicle during Keystone’s construction, the National Transportation Safety Board found."

Well, how else are our kids going to develop an immunity to oil unless they're exposed to it in its raw form, over and over and over........?

so you're saying oil pipeline spills are basically like oil vaccinations? (that should shut those liberals up!)
