yes! We all got things we can say to him. And unlike what he says, you legitimately have alot of people willing to stand by your side and back you up if necessary. Imagine... a couple hundred threatening emails in one night

What out for the 16 year old white boys with their ricers.

weren't you the one with a riced out cavalier ?

Doh, I can't stop laughing.

Edit: Get in touch with the cops and file a report. It doesn't cost anything and would be worth its wait in gold if something does happen to you.

He probably meant that he knows a lot of [kramer]street toughs[/kramer] who could like, beat him up or something.

Take a sharp rock and cut the fvcker's brake line. That'll shut him the hell up.

Or, if you'd rather just scare him back, go out and asphyxiate about 10-12 crows. Then get a couple of buddies, approach his house on foot, throw all the dead crows at his house and all over his front lawn, write REDRUM on his windows in red paint, and disembowel his dog. That'll freak out a person for sure :)

You really want to phuch this guy up?

Post his email address on ATOT

Post his IP # on ATOT

Call his parents

Call his workplace

Call his ISP

Call the police

I personally enjoy the IP # one :p If only we still had true private topics going we could really screw this guy over.

The guy's 48.. if he still worries about his parents punishing him, he has worse issues than this.

1. File a report with his local PD. As someone pointed out, they should get curious abut his "friends". Even if it's all talk, that should be enough to cool him off.

2. Call his ISP; I'm sure they do not want a potential liability customer and will cut him off.

3. Call his company and talk to HR. I am 99.9% sure they have a stringet Policy regarding personal use of PC's.

As far as I see it, all gloves off. Don't waste your time trying to reason with him.

I think a few people here are seriously underestimating what a psycho like this is capable of.

I know when I'm very angry, I can't type or spell for $hit. Hopefully, this guy doesn't have the same problem, otherwise I'd venture a guess that he's, really, REALLY mad. :D

I'm gonna chime in here.

I've read soo many articles on ATOT about psycho's running around the world. They are EVERYWHERE. You just don't know what might make people *snap.* You hear about it every day!

I urge you to take this seriously. Don't live in fear, but do the necessary precautions to keep yourself safe. (Cops, etc.)

I would send a registered letter with a copy of the receipt with the pertinent info highlighted. I would also state how you have been calm about the situation but he has been very immature about the situation and is trying to screw you. Then finish it with a cease and desist or he can have his lawyer contact your lawyer (just put it in there to show him your serious, he's all talk and when you start talking about lawyers he'll be your hctib). Definitely point out to the laws that he has broken (say your lawyer explained the laws he has broken and then list 'em). I would also state that you have saved all emails for your lawyers and any family and friends that would like to see how much of a dick he's been.

Then offer him your services at the no-hookup, normal rate of 65$ an hour.

and yes, he is a sick person because he's 48 years old and acts like a child. he needs some meds.

I think you are giving him too much credit.

In spite of the fact that "Garry's" comments are clearly threatening, they are probably too vague to create any real criminal liability. I would still bring a copy to the police just to put them on notice, in the hopes that they would at least go out and rattle Garry's cage a little bit.

I say go for the gusto! First, report him to the police. Then, report him to his ISP, I'm sure this type of thing is against their terms of service. Next send a letter/notice to him clearly stating your support contract or otherwise spell out what you will and will not do with regards to tech support for that computer. Send it certified mail with a receipt so that he knows you're not playing around with him. DO NOT threaten back. Also, look up your state laws on this type of thing to see what he's done to violate them. Here in the state of Kansas, if someone communicates something threatening to you, and you feel threatened (which obviously, by posting here, you do), then he can be charged for communicating a threat. If you provided no "terms of service" or spelled out service contract with the computer, you don't have to do squat to support it. Refer him to the manufacturer of the offending hardware or software component and leave it at that. Oh, and take solace in the fact that he's a spineless, old weasel with little or no socially redeeming values.

I concur.

I'd advise against offering ANY services, other than a good ass whooping.
