They don’t have the authority to declassify it, they are just immune from prosecution for disclosing classified information if they do so as part of their duties. Totally immune.

I'm sure Barr will wait until day before election day. Hopefully a copy will leak well before that so the contents can be disseminated. Now that the judge has ordered it's release should be legal to leak.
 
Was this the report where they did a really shitty job of redacting it so that you could actually see the redacted parts by just putting it in a word processor and undoing the blacked out text?
 
More fun from this case regarding the Mueller report. A few days ago, our resident 12D chess master tweeted that he "fully authorized the total declassification of any & all documents pertaining to the single greatest crime in American History, the Russian Hoax … no redactions!" So now the DoJ is having to explain why exactly Buzzfeed News shouldn't be handed the entire unredacted Mueller report upon their request.
