While you'll probably ignore the advice of everyone here telling you no, Just let me say.
NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!

Do you want to stay friends with your roommate? Then don't do it. This will only serve to completely destroy your friendship.

Do you want to keep trusting your roommate? Then don't do it. This will only serve to completely destroy your trust in your roommate.

I wish I could instill into your heart and mind how terrible of an idea this is. Money is the #1 cause of divorce in America, you aren't even married to your roommate and you want to share the number 1 reason for destroyed relationships?

What happens when one of you over draws? Who's going to pay the bill? What happens when one of you gets a speeding ticket? Problems abound. And what do you gain? "Oh boy, we have our money in one spot!"

Don't listen to these guys. As long as you and your roommate are responsible this would work out. I think your friendship would deepen from the sharing of finances.

Do you want to steal money from your roommate? DO IT!

In all seriousness, with the amount of trolls lurking the forums, it's amazing that a public poll can reach this level of one-sidedness (is that even a word?).

Sigh, I was going to be a jackass and vote yes, but just couldn't bring myself to do it.

I think it's a great idea. It will be more convenient and will bring you closer to your roommates. I would personally do it. I can't see any downside. Why is everyone voting no?

I fail to see what good can come of it. sharing expenses like food and furniture is just a pain in the ass. if anything, come to an agreement on who buys what furniture and the buyer owns it.

what if your roommate meets the girl of his dreams tomorrow and they decide to run off and get married and move in together?
