Jay Leno returning to Tonight Show, Conan gets the boot.

IMO Kimmel is the funniest one by far.. Conan is good but what others are saying is true, he's tamed down and Leno > tamed down Conan. It would suck for Conan to get bumped but I'm sure he'd get picked up by another network.
 
I guess I must be the only person here who doesnt care one way or the other.
I dont watch TV much anymore, and that late at night I'm either sleeping, partying, or playing video games. I dont see the point in turning on the tube so late.

And I never cared for variety shows with a wise-ass host anyway. If I want a variety of comedy I'll watch SNL or the Kids in the Hall or something similar. If I want to see guys mouth off I'll go back to college with the kiddies.
 
Now this is just my opinion now, and I know people like different things, but for me:

Hemorrhoids>Leno>Connan>Kimmel>Fallon


How about just putting on some friggin' movies on after the news you bunch of losers at the networks?

Ummm, probably because those late night shows make ASSLOADS of money?
I dunno if you should be calling network people losers. Maybe you gotta find out what makes money in this world.

I dont care for them myself but I know lots of people like those shows. It started with Carson and he made a shitload of money for NBC. Didnt you ever see the HBO movie "Late Night"? You should watch that, seriously. Its on Netflix.
 
Of course it's all about the money and advertising, even a child can get that one right. Network people are losers, they are ruining TV for everyone. Since you don't watch TV you don't know that all the shows are about cops, lawyers or hospitals, that's it! And I used to love Carson when he was on. But I don't need the same show on, with the same friggin' idiot, on every channel, on at the same time every night.
And for not caring about or watching TV, it seems that you do care one way and the other.

I got into Conan because he had better musical guests (or, more *my* taste). His show worked well for late night... you're tired, a little slap happy... "A masturbating bear! That's hilarious!". The same show wouldn't have worked an hour earlier, and trying to be something he's not doesn't work either. I haven't watched much of TTS since he took over (because I change the station when Leno comes on), but it's like they're holding back. The show is way too mainstream for him. I'd be fine with them moving him back an hour.

BUT DON'T PUT LENO BACK. He sucks. Or do... I don't care... I'll just continue to not watch him. I don't know the whole story, but my initial reaction when I saw that he had a new show was to compare him to Brett Favre (except less successful, since Favre is actually, amazingly, still pretty good).

Conan would fit in well at Fox since they don't seem to be as conservative (in a politically correct sense) as the major networks. But, even though I like him, he's not the right guy for the show.

indeed. Leno show was terrible. Conan on Tonight Show was no Conan, but it was still better than Leno show, and Leno on Tonight show.

added to that....Fallon is useless and stupid. and so now they're stuck with some terrible to mediocre shows. If they do shuffle Leno back to his old position you have a crappier show, and if you do nothing with Conan, you end up jettisoning your best talent (assuming he's in the proper time slot to do his thing)

supreme fuckup by NBC.

unless they get Bob Sagat. ...the real Bob Sagat and none of that Full House crap. I think if you throw him into the old Conan slot you'd have some surprising awesomeness.

Man I would so watch real Bob Sagat on TTS. His bit on the Aristocrats got me choking on whatever I was drinking. Before then, I had no idea how filthy he was. 😱

Unfortunately, he's stuck as a narrator on How I met your mother. :\
 
My favourites currently are Craig Ferguson and Chelsea. That being said, I still like Leno. 🙂 Conan and Letterman can disappear for all I care.

conan and fallon is the worst. conan face looks like it was formed in a wax museum.

kimmel and jay is good however the mexican sidekick gig with kimmel is getting old.

letterman is good too

What's the point of any late show? They're not all that funny.

For me, they're just something to watch when I go to bed. That's it. That said, I'll take Jay Leno over Conan any day.
