They should just dig Johnny Carson back up and put him on stage. He would be funnier than all the other people out there combined.

Heeeeeeeeeres Johnny!

Well that was a monumental 'eff up on NBC's part. I have no ills against Conan (I :heart; Triumph!)...but I though he was a horrible personality to take over for Jay/Tonight Show. Wonder how much this situation cost them after it's all said and done.

Conan should definitely leave NBC and go to FOX

So that he can be bounced around through 4 different days of the week over 5 different time slots and canned after a year when he finally gets viewers that can figure out WTF he's on?

They should give Ferguson a larger studio and a band, man that place seems scrammed when I was there a few weeks ago.

Conan has enough followers to draw them to FOX. Fox has never had anybody established as Conan (I don't think...) so I don't think FOX would F with him that much...

Leno should have never left. Leno and Conan were perfect in their previous time slots, but this new arrangement is fooking retarded.

From what I understand Leno didn't want to leave. Conan's contract was about to run out, and NBC offered him the Tonight Show to keep him from jumping ship and going to another network. Then they had to give Leno a new show to keep him from leaving as well. It just sounds like the whole plan was not very well thought out.

dumbs.

when leno comes on , nbc goes off. I really like conan but it just doesn't get turned back on.

I don't see letterman lasting for many more years. I don't see leno working out if they move him back. I used to prefer leno to letterman, but I won't ever watch him again.

They need to just cut Leno loose, but on a real show in that slot and give Conan a real shot without Leno f'ing up the lineup. They need someone who can hold the slot for a few decades.

Honestly, they should just close down all the shows, fire Conan, he's a leftist twat, give Leno a car show where he can talk about cars and the shit ton of cars in his garage, publicize the shit out of that.

And how is Conan a leftist twat?

I can understand not liking Conan, he's quirky. I personally think he's the best late night host, but if you stick him in a slot where he can't do half of his stuff, well of course he's going to fail.

NBC really cocked this whole thing up. What they should have done is kept them where they were, and just given Conan more money or allowed him to create a second show like 30Rock.

Fallon sucks and never should have had his own show. Kimmel sucks too, but he's pandering to his audience and every once in a while can do something funny. Letterman just plain sucks, the only notable things being his 10 list which most of the time is completely awful and attacking guests he doesn't agree with. Leno is about the blandest of all, but he's clearly pandering to his audience which he obviously knew well. Fergusson is actually quite good, although his problem is he gets not so great of guests (ones that draw ratings). Conan is great, he just needs to be put in a situation where he's not hampered by the audience.

Conan>Fergusson>>>>>Leno>Letterman>>>>>>>>>Kimmel>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Fallon.

Conan will be fine, as I'm sure TBS or Comedy Central wouldn't mind picking him up, if FOX doesn't. Imagine him on the 12 Eastern time slot on Comedy Central. He'd be able to do just about whatever he wants and would boost Stewart and Colbert's numbers.

I think TehMac is going to go with the "He made fun of Bush so he's a leftist" argument. I think Conan is probably more Repub than Dem. Or maybe he's 'in the middle' like Leno :p

There's a reason NBC is the fourth place network, they mess up everything.

ps...no one liked Fallon doing the Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme as Neil Young? :D - http://www.thelmagazine.com/TheMeas...oes-the-fresh-prince-theme-song-as-neil-young

Some funny stuff on Fallon but it's few and far between. Still a lot better than when he started. I like that he keeps his monologue around 3 mins unlike everyone else who does a 13 minute monologue for some reason.

I don’t think any of them are happy. Leno or Conan. I think Leno misses late night after all and Conan misses N.Y. Could be more to this than we know. Both Leno and Conan are powerful NBC headliners. THEY could have motivated the changes to come.
You assume they are pawns with no control on their destinations. I really doubt that is the case here...
Still, Lettermen is more the Johnny Carson style in quality. Leno and Conan are comedians.

Mm i think Arnold was only on Conan like one time. You might be thinking of Leno.

Hope TMZ is full of shit or if they aren't Conan gives a FU to NBC and goes to another Network. Would be really stupid and make no sense to give Leno back his time slot. I too think they were fine a year and a half ago in their original timeslots but now that you've made all these big changes you can't just go back to how things were. It was time for change anyways, they'd both been in those timeslots for 16+ years at the time.

Leno tackled the issue with his typical humor.

"As you may have heard, there's a rumor floating around we were canceled. I heard it coming in this morning on the radio," Leno said during his monologue. "So far, nobody said anything to me, but ... you know, if we did get canceled, it would give us some time to maybe do some traveling. In fact, I understand FOX is beautiful this time of year.
