Bull shit.

You did not have a full ride scholarship. Social Security paid for your college.

It isn't social security. It's the VA and WA-state. Have some respect for your veterans, mang. Jeez. What are you? ANTI-AMERICAN?

Ever think about looking at insurance companies for a job? I've worked with quite a few math majors.

That's actuary work as far as I've seen and I'm not interested. It wouldn't advance my career as a software developer.

I'm anti lazy ass people. You can drain the system for years but God forbid you actually get a job to pay into that system. Guess what? You laying all the couch watching youtube all day isn't advancing your career either. Matter of fact...good luck explaining the gap in employment to a recruiter. Taking a bad job temporarily is easy to explain. Explaining why you sat on your ass and couldn't get a job is much harder.

"I don't want to take work in an industry that develops most of its own software because it wouldn't advance my career as a software developer."

I sincerely hope that you are posting from work and laughing your butt off at this thread..

Haven't worked with actuaries in about 15 years.

example: I have created a new insurance program and need a robust, yet simple to use web interface where I can underwrite an account, rate an account and then issue a policy.

That involves working with web people, database people, compliance people, etc. No actuaries involved.
(and yes, I did something like that about 8 months ago and it is an ongoing process to date)

Don't dismiss something out of hand due to your lack of knowledge.

In which branch did you serve?

Here you go. Just a broad search that I am sure you won't look at. My attempt at Karma for the day (considering my lake house had 2 pipes burst sometime in the last few weeks and I just found out yesterday because the neighbors called me when they notice the yard is flooded; I need every bit of Karma I can get because that is going to be one hell of a claim).

Except us working people paid for his living expenses, tuition, books, etc.

Its easy to save your own money when you can wait for the government to send you other people's money.

F**k him and f**k everyone like him.

Are you seriously mad at people who get scholarships?

🙄

it's like the 3rd Matrix movie. You're committed to the ending, even if the final act hurts so bad.

Terrible analogy. Matrix 2 sucked just as bad and your analogy acts like there was ever a reason to be interested in Trident's woes.

This is more Walking Dead. It opened with some mild entertainment (froot loops!), but has just been a festering string of shitty character, not much worthwhile actually happening, lame excuses, and general just a waste of time.
