We're like Maple Leaf fans. We know he's never going to get a job but we keep checking because there's that glimpse of hope that something interesting develops. Kinda like Leaf fans continue to watch the games because there's a glimpse of hope that they might actually win one. 😛

I was right though. The companies I've applied for don't care about grades. ()🙂

I agree with you on that one but you need experience or connection to get around having stellar grades to point to.

You on LinkedIn? It can be a great way to network and find jobs. It could also help you get some experience on projects.

Good luck man and thanks for the lulz. I'm glad you let us pick on you and are a good sport.

Most companies don't care for grades, unless they don't have better weed out mechanism. However, when they are hiring fresh out of college graduates, there's not much else to compare you to your peers, on the paper.

Definitely great grades will leave better impression, but other things are key factors. You can make it up during interview. Bad grades just could cost you the interview in the first place.

Compared to a 3.8-4.0 candidate, my 3.4+ gpa isn't going to stand out as positively. However, it's not failing and as dismal as many other competing candidates. So, whatev.

It's what I got to live with.

What's hurting you is this general attitude:
Nope. Not at all. I've done very poorly in school because I've had no motivation. (I've had a lot of stress and much bigger problems outside of school throughout my whole life)

I know too many people who are stupid but put in the time and get really good grades. (Perfect scores on everything) It's a time game and tests your memory more than anything. Very few tests I've ever come across test my critical thinking skills. It's almost all memorization of certain key facts. And I'm a fucking math major.

I stopped caring about my GPA a long time ago. If it isn't 4.0 then it doesn't matter. I don't study much or work towards anything at this point (No motivation). I do the bare minimum to get by. Does this matter in the job market? Maybe, maybe not. It really depends on what companies you're applying for. Most companies that I care about do not care what my GPA was (With reason, I suppose). They care about my work experience. If I was applying for a company that filters by GPA then I'd care. I won't be though.

Or maybe you didn't read it correctly?

Not far off. Base content is similar. Well, actually, I guess it's got a bit more to it now.

It's been through a few revisions since. There's not much to improve on because I don't have more jobs or internships to list.

This is a closer revision. http://www.filedropper.com/anonymousresume_1

Some feedback: is anybody using your dance project? If so, you could state that. I would think that you'd want to put job experience above the projects. Also you're bit lacking on leadership points.

Because of the said "HISTORIC BLIZZARD OF 2015" I got to sleep in until 8:30, made a nice pot of coffee all to myself, turned the news on... sat around and didn't do shit all morning. Decided to clean my car off around 2:30ish before it got too dark. Made dinner and sat around playing guitar most of the evening/night. I kind of felt like TridenT does daily. Or maybe I did too much work by cleaning my car off and making dinner for myself - I'm not sure...

Tell me this is no longer your resume. Please.

Ugh.

This needs a revamp. You need some serious new bullets with 'paint-the-picture' accomplishments.

And overall it's way too short. Resume is your 95% of who you are to the world. It's based on your resume that they bother to call you in the first place. It's your resume the hiring managers read in front of you DURING your interview.

Jokes aside, I've suspected this all along. If you're not getting calls, your resume sucks. And yours does, no matter how much you changed it based on this bad foundation.

Get this overhauled.

I don't want to sound whatever, but it was my RESUME that gave me six figure income (I remade it to a full 2 pager from a shitty 1 page one). I learned it dearly that sizzle matters.

[edit]
PM me if you're serious, I can give you some pointers (obviously talking to TridenT).
