Parents are about 10m south of Portland, say it's been snowing all day. IIRC enough that one of my friend's flights got rerouted to Seattle?

Warning? It's more like a duck and cover. (I also live there) I didn't have any problems getting to work (got there early, so it wasn't TOO bad this morning) but getting home was another story. I could barely see maybe 50 feet in front of me, but most of the traffic on 13th was single-file anyways through several parts, so I didn't have to worry about running into abandoned cars in intersections. I didn't get stuck until I made my endeavor into our parking lot. I had to shovel my car out before I got it into the garage. 🙂

I drive a Dodge Neon! Go econobox, go! 😛
 
We went out to get a few things at the store here south of Tacoma, and it turned into fun times. Several people were parking in the ditch, sometimes on the side or the roof🙂

Depends on which part of Oregon you live in. 😛

What we got in Portland today is different than the usual western valley wet snow (or as skiers call it, the "Cascade Crud"). This is like Midwest snow. Dry, powdery, blowing, and drifting.

What is usually a 10-15 minute drive turned into just over an hour to get home. They sent us home early 😀

He should have said Portland, but he would be correct. Portland doesn't get this type of weather or snow very often. Holy shit, I wish I was there.. this sounds like fun! 😀 It's going to be colder in Portland than here in Santa Fe the next couple of days. :Q

Supposed to be a high of 25º and low of ~15º in Portland, and a high of ~34º, low of ~20º here.

It's 22.6º in SE Portland right now, and 23.2º here..

Damn.
 
It finally snowed where I am and it's still coming down. 3-4" on my back deck, and it's all very dry & powdery. I was looking forward to making a snowman too.🙁

mmhmmmm, we had a blizzard warning all of sunday, pretty cool.

It was almost 40degrees yesterday, now it's -10 , and windchill makes it -30 or so...

They've even been predicting the possibility of some snow here in the valley...that hasn't happened in quite a few years.
 
We had major hail storm last night in SF. Even got lightning and thunder. It's gonna be more of the same tonight, forecast says it's gonna be even colder.
 
no snow here, we are supposed to have some, but it's just cool, about 12 or so. how come you guys are getting snow at 300 feet, and i'm not at 9155ft? i know vail is getting it good, but not us.
 
Snow over the weekend here in CO (Denver). I think we're supposed that have some more snow coming our way...got my new tires just in time.

It was a balmy -10F when I woke up this morning. I love this weather. <--- not sarcasm.
 
Well, I'm officially sick of this weather. Our power has gone out twice already, for several hours at a time, which sucks when it's well below freezing and you have heat tapes on your pipes.
