It doesn't snow very often in Oregon, much less in the valley at 300 feet above sea level, so I'm pretty stoked.

I went outside, got a snowball, and nailed my boss in the balls with it :D He tried getting retribution but I ran back into the lab. Snow + electronics = fired so I'm safe for the moment.

I drive a front wheel drive car but I need new front tires and the car is already completely covered in snow. I hope I can get out of the parking lot  Intel salts their parking lots (there was so much salt this morning when I came in that it sounded very crunchy driving on it), but they haven't done jack crap about the parking lot yet. I hope I can go home :Q

(yes, this thread is just to brag about hitting my boss in the balls with a snowball)

For 97006, weather.com says it's 28 but feels like 17 :Q Easterly @ 13mhp, so not too bad at all.

The lobby here has a big christmas tree set up and has completely glass walls. The lights on the tree are on, but because it's Sunday they turn off most of the lobby lights. I'm going to take my lunch in the darkened lobby, watch the christmas tree lights sparkle on the glass, against a backdrop of a small park & trees blanketed in snow. I  christmas

Only it's possible to drive on rain while impossible to drive on ice. Oregon never gets "just snow" because it's always wet before the temp drops so that it CAN snow. We always get snow on top of ice and it makes driving a bitch.

Yeah, we got about that much in the Seattle area. I couldn't believe how many idiots managed to go into the ditch on I-5 when it wasn't even that slippery. Then again, everyone in Washington drives like an idiot and I'm from Minnesota, so I might be biased.

Damn you PDXers. The front seems to be stalled near Woodburn, the cold air hasn't reached the Salem area yet.

Well drive your ass up here and lets get drunk and throw snowballs at my neighbors then. It's okay, I know all of them (read: we can go for nut shots )

I know all to well, I lived there the last time it snowed heavily AND I had to drive across town, the Markham bridge is quite scary when icy.
I'll see if i can find the photos of my car buried under snow.

Clearly you've never been in SoCal while it's raining, because for half the people down here it is not possible for them to drive in the rain. ;)

Chuck a snowball for me; it's 56 and sunny here right now. The best we can hope for is some rain tomorrow.

Washington is so funny.. I typed in seattletimes.com and before I hit enter I knew what would be the top story. Sure enough.. like I couldn't tell there was snow outside, and like this doesn't happen every year at least once or twice.

What the hell? We were supposed to get 8" to 12" inches of snow here in Spokane, we barely got 2". But it's a nice warm 9 right now.

Yeah I'm in Yakima and we only got like an inch. Temps are soon to be in the negatives, which we don't see often. It's odd how we have 110 degree summers and negative winters.
