The first thing you need to do is get the crazy fundamentalists out of power in Israel like Netanyahu. Then you can focus on attempting to make peace with Hamas in exchange for lifting the blockade. If that does not work then you are going to have to try to dislodge Hamas in favor of Fatah or some other moderate political organization.
There is no peace between Muslims and Jews.

We're just trying to keep the Muslims from killing all the Jews.

The only reason Arab states don't attack Israel, is that Israel can and will protect itself.

-John

To varying extents, most/all countries need armies and/or protection agreements (using other countries armies), to protect themselves.

E.g. If Ukraine had been a member of Nato for some time, who would possess Crimea ?

If America totally disbanded all its military, and military hardware, how long would it last ?

Would North Korea do things to the US, then ?

Few countries can survive for long without any military defense. World history has shown this as very much true.

Seems to me the only reason Netanyahu is in power is because the people who put him there perceive an existential threat. I think it is likely that if we happened to live in Israel we might do the same thing. But this struggle hasn't been solved by political means yet, and if past behavior predicts future behavior, I don't think it ever will be.

It's facsinating in a horrible way how far people will go just to prove they are right. Sending your family and the families of your enemy to their graves just to prove a political point, isn't that what this is? We're doomed, if you think about it.

The Jewish people have been run out of country after country, reviled for no good reason, and slaughtered multiple times throughout history through pogrom after pogrom. That a little piece of the world, in a nomadic herding area, was carved out for them, in an area they had inhabited for a while before the Romans slaughtered them and leveled their city, is fine with me. They got it, they kept it from multiple invasions, and now because people don't like Jews, they are still bashed around by idiotic people.

And you can't keep launching rockets into Israel without something like this happening. The fact that Israel hasn't leveled the who region shows amazing restraint on their behalf. I don't think I would be so tolerant.
You say that like there's no provocation at all from the Israeli side.

Both sides have been launching ordinances at each other with very little to no regards to civilians.

They are Religious lunatics, similar to the Muslims, and the Christians.

They invite conflict, even when they try to be good.

They are all damned to hell.

They have lost all respect of the individual, and that an individual knows what is right, what is good.

Apparently you get different news on the other side of the pond.

Yes. So the solution is to run other people out of their homes to make room for them? I would assume it is very easy to hold your position, if it wasn't the land you, your parents and their grandparents grew up on.

It happens that people lose their land.

In times of war, you may lose a lot of land.

There's nothing that says you are "entitled" to land.

It's true that after a while of fighting our enemy we tend to become like to a mirror image of him. This is the nature of battle. If anyone thinks they have the moral high ground at the beginning of a fight, the fight itself removes such pretense, and the building of morality must start again after cessation of hostilities.

Show me a exact description of the occurances between the loss of the 3 boys and when Hamas started to fire all of those rockets.
Link

Jan-April 100 rockets
May 4 rockets
June 53 rockets (only one before the kidnapping on 12 June)
1 July 20 rockets and Israel retaliates with strikes on Gaza
July 2000+

So Israel stood by and took the attacks, yet no one said anything.
Kidnapping happened, Israel starts searching for suspects
Rocket fire increases right after Israel identifies the suspects

Is that enough numbers for a coincidence.

Israel leveled a city within an hour with conventional weapons? Then I don't know what hope the Palestinians have. Sounds like they'd better give up or realize they're all going to die.

Really they should all be dead by now. Israel is supposedly awfully good at killing them but somehow this genocide is taking decades.

Seems like the only party who is preventing peace are the Israelis.

http://www.maannews.net/eng/ViewDetails.aspx?ID=713579

So Hamas wants everything that they have lost due to their actions.

What is Hamas offering to Israel that is a benefit to encourage Israel to stop the conflict. Absolutely nothing.

Using the Palestinian track record for holding up truces, it has been shown to be good for hours at the most. Hamas would allow attacks and excuses such that is was a splinter group that did it.

If Hamas represents Gaza; then Hamas has to accept responsibility for Gaza.

Are you suggesting the Palestinians need to cough up lunch money to keep their right to life?
