Hamas is certainly no hero, but when you are a subjugated, occupied, and captive population with no access to necessary resources, who do you vote for?

--The people that offer to provide many of these resources, actually fulfill these promises; while also doing rather bad things with the purported goal of protecting you

--Or the people that promise nothing--or promise help and deliver nothing--and either commit terrible acts, or no acts against the people occupying your home and preventing your access to these resources?

This is probably difficult for you to understand, as you have the "god-granted luxury" of not being born in an occupied nation.
 
If the option was Israelites being rocketed to death or Hamas/Palestinians killed. I pick the latter. It's a tragedy that innocents are killed but that's what happens when you live with terrorists.
 
Unfortunately, it will take more shelling to finish this job.

Each time a terrorist shoots a rocket, Israel should send 10 rockets in return. They are only holding back due to world pressure. Otherwise, Israel would have finished this faster than the 6 day war (June 1967). There are no civilian casualties in war, did we forget how many casualties there were at Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Approximately 250,000 people. Should we be shamed for having done that?

good, the sooner 1 side completely eliminates the other one the better. then this will all go away

and I don't care which side wins, there is no other solution to this. people just don't want to admit it. people have been fighting over that area for thousands of years and its never going to stop until someone totally eradicates the other. or they turn it into a nuclear fallout zone
 
Honestly I think it's just going to continue for 1000 years. The only side willing to completely wipe out the other completely lacks the capacity, and neither side is going to willingly concede or leave. They've both dehumanized their adversaries completely.

So either the Palestinians will get tired of bathing in their own shit (unlikely, we're talking about radical Muslims who elected a terrorists government here, bathing in one's own shit will probably become a ritual of martyrdom soon) and start actually earning their nationhood peacefully, or Israel will eventually say fuck this and wipe out the Palestinians in the most historically ironic fashion possible.

That or the Palestinians eventually figure out how to get a nuke into Tel Aviv. Then the world gets shocked enough to actually intervene.

Great, let's get 20 or 30 civilians to march in front of the army, because people like you would never shoot a civilian. Perhaps you as a civilian would like to volunteer first? This is exactly what the Palestinians do. They put their women and children in front of the rock throwers or shooters for protection. And then when a woman or child gets shot or hurt, they make all the TV news on how bad the Israelis are.

Once a woman or child take a role in being a combatant, they are fair game. In the Vietnam war, the North Vietnamese would dress as civilians to infiltrate our own army. What did we do? We killed about 100,000 civilians, or they could have been army. Children were also used heavily during this war too. Tell our troops that we should have done nothing and have been killed instead.

Eh, I'd rather Israel has nukes than Islamic terrorists. For that reason alone who wins is rather important to me.

If the locals were being used as human shields; it would be Hamas militants that were firing at the IDF through the villagers.


Its farmers have faced death almost on a daily basis in the past 7 years as Israeli gunfire has become the norm along the buffer zone between Gaza and Israel.

Yet where is the side that that area is being used for launching munitions against Israel?

It is a Gaza Palestinians reporting a sob story to ensure that sympathy is felt.
