Uh, that does indeed look to have been a typo, the OP meant to say indicted."Invited"? Invited to an indictment?
Fixed. Hard to type with fingers crossed."Invited"? Invited to an indictment?
Not an indictment, but seems like one of the first truly large-scale legal actions against Trump. It's tackling fraud over the course of a decade, and would effectively kick the Trumps out of business in the state. Not counting on the DOJ referral leading to a criminal case, but what I'm hearing in the livestream suggests charges are plausible.
The main catch is that the Trump family will likely use the familiar delaying tactics: contest the evidence, appeal rulings, demand unrealistic terms. This isn't a lawsuit that will wrap up in a few months.
Should only take 5 years to wind through the courts, yeah?
