I laugh myself sick almost every time I watch that show. One of my favorite shows on tv right now.

Maybe they just don't like the political theme of the show? Because you deem the show funny all others who don't are automatically dimwits? it would be an improvement if you toned it down to arrogant bastard.
A sense of humor is required for you to the the show funny. Most of the people who don't like it either don't have a sense of humor, and don't understand enough basics about politics.

I've been watching the Daily Show since the Kilbourne days. I love it, but its hit or miss with me. It averages out to where i get a few chuckles from each episode.
And they do make fun of everything, and it may be tasteless, very tasteless with some segments. But thats what they do. It's a fresh outlet from the same news on eveyr other channel.

You have to be intelligent at least in the sense that you know/understand world news/happenings. This doesn't surprise me at all because all of my stupid friends don't like it and all of my smart (and usually older) friends do.
