Not really too concerned. Big East has always been a b'ball conference and losing VT and Miami will definitely not hurt it there.
If with Syracuse as the defending National and Big 12 champs, and strong teams in Pitt, UConn, ND, BC, Seton Hall, etc, Big East is THE conference for B'ball

Big 12. The ACC isn't fit to hold the Big 12's jock strap.

not to mention that the big 10 regularly sends 6-7 teams to bowl games and 5-6 teams to the ncaas for bball.... thats over 50% of teams that play in the league

compare that to the current acc - we usually send 6-7 teams to bowls (out of 9) and 4-5 of the nine to the ncaas. *well* over 50%

I would say that the SEC or the Big-10 are the top conferences.
As for Notre Dame joining the ACC...don't hold your breath.

Notre Dame has a sweet deal going as far as scheduling and whatnot goes in addition to being able to negotiate their own TV coverage. I wouldn't expect them to join a conference because then they would have to give up their traditional scheduling of patsies to inflate their record in addition to being forced to play conferance opponents.
Edit: 1001 posts....yay I'm golden.![]()
