As an honor to the now passed scanner, I think you should torrent these so the legacy can live on. ;)

So Aquaman what is your goal with these scanned mags? Do you constantly look at them at all? Or are you just a digital packrat?

I do use them as references. Lots of good info. It also frees up a lot of room (over 15 banker boxes and 450+ pounds).

I just picked this one up. While not as fast as my HP4C, the scans do seem better.

Thing is lightweight compared to my HP 4C at around 20lbs.

Sorry if this was posted in the previous 25 pages, but...

Did you consider asking the publisher for a digital copy?

Does the publisher know you are doing this? (they may be interested if they dont have digital copies)

I am pretty sure they have better copies then the ones I have. Also the publishers would not give out a digital copy because it's so easy to get out in the wild.

The reason I will not torrent this collection is because I support the magazine companies and I don't want them to lose any revenue. Because if they go under............ I lose a valuable resource.

i remembered this thread when i started to look at my stack of Food & Wine, Bon Apetit, and (most importantly) National Geographics (i have 3 or 4 years of those already) and I dont wanna scan em really...but i wanna keep em. kinda. mostly. meh
