Birthday is special to me.

  • I do whatever I want!

I've never been a fan of birthdays...nor the attention they bring. Other than family, I never celebrate them.

(but all you idiots who go out partying on NYE celebrate mine for me!)

My wife and I go out to eat on our birthdays and if I notice it is someone's birthday on Facebook, I'll send them a happy birthday message. I will also text my parents and brother on their birthday if I remember. But really I don't care about birthdays at all. I haven't bought a birthday gift in a very long time. I think I've given 1-2 birthday gifts in the last 20 years.

My own birthday, I don't care at all but sometimes I use it as an excise to use up vacation days.

We celebrate them. It's the one time of the year a person gets to feel special and more important than anyone else.

without even reading the replies here, i'm going to assume that most of atot will say no because most people on here don't seem to like to have fun in "traditional" ways and don't like doing things that everyone else does.

EDIT:

yup, just as expected.

You're getting just as jaded as I am 😛

ATOT definitely has a "why should I go out of my way for other people" attitude.

I don't really think birthdays are a big deal. But do hope to have many more of them.

Wasn't sure how to answer the poll though, I do whatever I want most days.

Ehh, Birthdays are important only when they are important milestones

like first ten years are awesome, then, 16 was good since that's when I got my drivers license and a job, then 21 was good since then I could legally purchase my liquor.

Turned 19, was allowed to drink. Then, they took that away (and 19 year olds weren't grandfathered in.)

When I turned 21, I had gone from college to my father's the following weekend. The two girls, early 20's, lived downstairs from him, hot - they wanted to take me out to celebrate my 21st birthday. I turned them down.

<------idiot.

At home it means my mom will bake me a cake and other things, so that's definitely a plus. However, I always give false birthdays to people outside of my family. I don't like people talking about me unless it's forum drama.
