Is Birthday a big deal to you?

So I'm just watching this Audi commercial and it got me thinking. What's the big deal about birthdays? I know a lot of people feel like it's the most special day of their life, but why? What about you ATOT? Is birthday special to you, or is it just meh.
 
I'm indifferent, and I don't like being the center of attention. Birthdays quit being special around hitting double digit age.
 
Me personally? Not at all. I'd prefer no one even mention it or recognize it. It's no big deal to me and I'd rather not have anyone waste money on a present or spend time organizing a party or something.
 
Also like lxskllr I do not like being the center of attention.

Yep, totally this. Now it's just annoying; I hate doing birthday crap.

I like having birthdays, I get tons of presents and lots of attention... I like attention, but I like free shit even more 😀
 
not a big deal.

I try to do something "special," but that's usually just dinner at a nice restaurant with friends or going to see a show on Broadway if I can get a good deal on tickets.

Happy Birthday!

I've gone back and forth on this. When I was a kid I loved birthdays because my parents always did a really good job.

Then when I was a teen/early twenties I was self concious and didn't like birthdays at all.

Now it's not a big deal either way. I usually just like to have dinner with my folks or something. Last year by some miracle I had a girlfriend, so it was really nice to celebrate it with her.
