i'm leaving early anyways, but i may leave a little earlier hah. was going to leave around 3pm but maybe i'll just leave at like 2.

You should leave. You should leave right now. Its an emergency you should go home. If it gets stolen off the porch Fedex isn't responsible.

You look a little under the weather do you have a fever? go home :)

It's 1gb of ram. But ios is well optimized. As long as you don't open a bajillion tabs in safari you should be ok.

The "issue" of 1GB of RAM really isn't an issue...it's another one of those things where on paper, yet again, the Android devices "blow it away". In all reality, the reviews say otherwise. They had a reporter from the local Fox station on the radio this morning talking about how inferior the new 6 camera was compared to the Samsung. Totally clueless. (He was at the Apple store reporting on the lines)

just opened mine. i posted some pics of it with the case in the thread for cases just if anyone is interested in the case.

haven't turned it on yet but am about to get it set up, but i gotta say it doesn't feel as big as i thought it would feel in hand. i think a lot of it has to do with how slim it is.

my ip4 outside of any case is thicker than the ip6+ inside of the case i got.

Like anything, I'd rather have more and not need it all have less and not have enough. To be honest, I don't need a new phone at all, but it would have been an easier sell if it was somewhat "future proof".

Just got mine... 4.7" - It's going to take me a bit to get used to this size, glad I didn't get the 5.5" one now. I actually like the feel of the iPhone 5 better. The camera ring isn't as much of a big deal as I thought it would be, the phone sits fine without really much of any wobble. I'm sure once I get to using Safari and other apps I'll appreciate the larger screen more but we will see. I've only played with it for like 10 minutes - just first impressions.

Hmm had a bit of trouble activating it, but now my mammoth of a phone is good to go! The double-tap thing is interesting... mostly because the name is kind of confusing. :p Most people would probably suspect a button tap to be a button press, but it's more like two successive touches. It's interesting, but I'm not sure if I really need it.

So much for delivery by 3pm. I came home expecting to pick up my two phones from the apartment office. The problem is they are still out for delivery and its 5:10pm right now.

that feature does not seem to be that polished. doesn't work as accurately as i would have expected.

not sure how i feel about the ip6+ yet. i mean it is awesome and all, but it might be too big for me. going to give it a couple weeks before i decide if i keep it or not. i definitely do not feel comfortable with it when trying to just use 1 hand for everything. but again, it might just be something i have to get used to.

but damn, the screen on this thing is very nice. i was just checking out some games and damn it looks great. also runs a lot smoother than my ip4 for everything lol.

It's not going to be an issue right now, but it could be a year or two down the road. Curious that Apple rushed 64-bit but are still being chintzy with RAM. While iOS manages manages RAM far better than Android does, I'd expect 2GB to be the default now for premium smartphones.

the thing about RAM is that 90% (yes i made that number up) of the market couldnt give 2 shits how much RAM is in a phone as long as it works. it's only a very small subset of techies that care about specs and stuff.

as long as it works and works smooth, that is all that matters to the majority of people out there. obviously we're on a tech forum here so most of us know what it is, but RAM simply doesn't matter (as far as numbers go) to the majority of customers.

Finally ordered mine today, Space Grey iPhone 6 64GB. Me and my wife had been discussing changing carriers but are going to stick with Verizon for another year. Ships 7-10 days so two weeks or so I'm guessing.

Had mine since around lunch. It is really nice. My only complaint is that it is really hard to type after being so used to the thinner iPhone 5. Like every time. I go to hit 's' I hit 'd'.

Got my 4.7" this afternoon, have to give thumbs up to the Rogers reservation system. UPS delivered my phone to the store, they called me 15 minutes later. Even got a free BT speaker that looks decent.

The store got 15-20 iPhone 6, all reserved, and 0 Plus models. I'm glad I got the 6, screen's big enough and it feels smaller in my pocket than the 5. Should've ordered an unlocked Plus to resell...

UPS delivered to me around 3:40. Surprised it was a plain white box for the actual Apple box.

6 feels like such a nice phone...and makes my 4 look miniscule. My wife really likes it (has a 5S) and made a comment about how much bigger it was. It may take a bit to get used to for me, as the KB is slightly wider with the bigger screen size. But loving the phone!

Activation was also not as smooth as I was thinking...but perhaps with TMo they had to activate it via a call. Not sure what VZ/ATT was like activating. Restoring my backup was lightning quick - under 10 minutes for 20GB of data?

I ended up having to get a Verizon rep to activate my phone. I tried to activate by phone twice, and it didn't work. I tried to do it online, but Verizon wanted to send me a verification code to one of my two numbers: the phone I'm upgrading, which the new and old were both turned off, and my iPad, which can't receive texts.

Eh, I don't really think I need it at this point. Although, my hands are fairly large.

When I was using it earlier, I noticed that I was using two hands, but it didn't bother me at all. I thought about it for a second, and realized that when I would be using my 5S with one hand, the other would just be relaxed at my side. In other words, using two isn't really inconveniencing me at this point.

Although, the most difficult test will probably be trying to use it while working out. :p

One thing that's proving to be the hardest to get used to? The position of the power button! I keep reaching up top to put the phone to sleep.

but damn, the screen on this thing is very nice. i was just checking out some games and damn it looks great. also runs a lot smoother than my ip4 for everything lol.

You can also take non-grainy photos now! ;)

It became second nature to reach for the side. It seems to make more logical sense to have it there. It'll be second nature in no time :)

And yes, the camera is worlds better!
