UPS delivered my 6+ a little while ago. Restoring from backup right now and setting up TouchID. This is a big phone.
Attaboy...that'd kill me knowing it was sitting on my doorstep.
Did it have 2GB or RAM or one? There was a rumor that the plus might have 2GB.Nevermind, confirmed by iFixit to have 1GB.
BTW, this happened to me when I first opened my 5:

It's 1gb of ram. But ios is well optimized. As long as you don't open a bajillion tabs in safari you should be ok.

Hmm had a bit of trouble activating it, but now my mammoth of a phone is good to go! The double-tap thing is interesting... mostly because the name is kind of confusing. Most people would probably suspect a button tap to be a button press, but it's more like two successive touches. It's interesting, but I'm not sure if I really need it.
The "issue" of 1GB of RAM really isn't an issue...it's another one of those things where on paper, yet again, the Android devices "blow it away". In all reality, the reviews say otherwise.
It's not going to be an issue right now, but it could be a year or two down the road. Curious that Apple rushed 64-bit but are still being chintzy with RAM. While iOS manages manages RAM far better than Android does, I'd expect 2GB to be the default now for premium smartphones.
Activation was also not as smooth as I was thinking...but perhaps with TMo they had to activate it via a call. Not sure what VZ/ATT was like activating. Restoring my backup was lightning quick - under 10 minutes for 20GB of data?
that feature does not seem to be that polished. doesn't work as accurately as i would have expected.
not sure how i feel about the ip6+ yet. i mean it is awesome and all, but it might be too big for me. going to give it a couple weeks before i decide if i keep it or not. i definitely do not feel comfortable with it when trying to just use 1 hand for everything. but again, it might just be something i have to get used to.
but damn, the screen on this thing is very nice. i was just checking out some games and damn it looks great. also runs a lot smoother than my ip4 for everything lol.
One thing that's proving to be the hardest to get used to? The position of the power button! I keep reaching up top to put the phone to sleep.
You can also take non-grainy photos now!![]()
