iPhone 6 - Who's preordering tomorrow at 3:01am?

Getting two iPhone 6+ 128gb in silver/space gray on Vzw edge.

Can't wait!

You better not take mine! D:

I'm still debating switching to Edge vs. normal contracts. Edge tempts me because I can get 10GB of data for only $15 more a month (excluding the phone's cost being added). Although, I've never done it through a pre-order, so I don't know if there will be any weird happenings! 😛

I'm planning to preorder a 32gb of some color from Verizon. 4.7", no need to see both as I know there is no way I'm hauling around a 5.5" phone.

Not me. I want to play with the two phones in my hands to see how I like the form factor. The phones just seem to big. If I can still comfortably use the 6 with one hand, then I'll probably go with that. If both are too big for my hand... Probably will just go all in on the plus. 64GB for sure.

still torn like 50/50 between the plus and normal ip6. i will be coming from an ip4 and my wife has an ip5, so i know the size of that, but i'm worried the plus will be too big like to put in my pocket and shit. but i DO think it would be cool to have a larger phone like that, but i also think the 6 will be just fine. still not sure.

definitely getting 1 for myself, and if verizon will move my wifes upgrade date from next month to today, she will get one too, otherwise she'll get it next month. yesterday on chat they told me they could move her date up but i would have to call in. so last night i called in and they gave me the run around saying they wouldn't do it for the ip6. so i'm going to call in again today and see if they will do it cause i'm sure i'll get aonther person on the phone.

One of the weird things that pushes me toward the 6+ is that you can finally rotate the home screen (this feature is only on the plus). I've gotten pretty used to using the home screen sideways as I go from one landscape app to another, but my OCD nature likes it being the "correct" orientation. 😛 Also, since developers can produce split layouts on the 6+ while in landscape mode, I'm curious to see what they'll do.

I do know what you mean about the size though. Have you tried fitting the mock-ups into your pockets?

I'm undecided. I was thinking the regular 6 would be fine, but then I saw OIS is only available on the 6 Plus. I will probably wait till a 6s to see if it has OIS.

i printed out the mockup and it's HUGE. hard to try and get it in my pocket since it's so thin just being on paper and it folds up. i might tonight actually make a cardboard cutout just so i can get the actual size, and since i don't have much time left to make my decision lol.

I made a cardboard cutout version of the 6+ and it IS indeed large.
It fit in my pocket ok, but the with a silicone bumper case, it will be a lot harder.
I am coming from a 4S, so it is a huge leap.

Still, I think the larger screen will be better for web browsing and gaming and the Optical image Stabilizer founds great.
I have a toddler and I find myself using my camera for than my dSLR to take pics.
With this camera phone upgrade, I might be able to get good pics (5x7+ quality) with my phone.
Maybe the 6 is almost as good with the new software.

I am worried about one hand operation on the 6+ though.
I need to watch some more videos of it in action.
I doubt I can wait to try one in store... 🙁

Apple didn't manage to wow me this time. No doubt it'll be better than my iPhone 4S, but do I really need to be putting that kind of change down. Especially since I want to go off contract. I'm going to play the waiting game and probably upgrade either December or January. In no rush. Really not sure what phone I want to get.

I'm leaning towards an unlocked 4.7" iPhone 6 - 64GB direct from Apple. Haven't decided on colour yet.

At first I wasn't even considering the 6 Plus, but now it has me thinking maybe...
I'm just worried the 5.5" it will be to big to pocket comfortably. The reason why I'm thinking maybe now is because the 4.7" is a bit big for one handed operation so, if you lose that, maybe just go as big as possible?

Quick question, any of you guys going to grab one of the Apple leather or silicone cases? If so,leather or silicone or think they neither? I've always run with a naked phone but with the lens ring sticking out, I'm thinking a really thin case might not be that bad.

I use one of Apple's leather cases on my iPhone 5S, and it works fine. It was one of the few that I could find that wasn't super bulky, covered the majority of the bare metal on the I/O side (i.e. no huge gap between 3.5mm jack and speaker), and didn't have an oversized cutout for the camera on the back. I think I mentioned it in the other thread, but the second part (no huge cutout) no longer seems to be the case on the new 6/6+ leather cases.

Apart from that, the price isn't terrible (for an Apple accessory!), and they have a good feel to them. At worst, you can always try one out in the Apple Store next Friday.

I'm looking to jump back to iOS this round but still undecided on which iPhone to get. My last 3 phones were a Note 3, LG G2, and a Note 2 and I'm currently using a Moto X. To be honest I loved the Note 2 more than I did the Note 3, mostly because of the rounded feel.

I like the Moto X because it's just way easier to exercise with. Running with a Note was just awkward and the 6+ is even bigger than those.

I suppose I could wait, but I am quite ready to shelf my Moto X for a bit.

I'm waiting until Q4 so I can double dip on discover's cashback....and I'm still trying to decide between the 4.7" ip6 and xperia z3 compact.

Good luck guys.

I won't be up late since I'll be sticking with my 5s for a while.

As for size, in my office the Android gals often lean toward the Galaxy Note series, while the guys lean toward the Galaxy S series.

I attribute this to the purse factor. Guys (usually) don't carry purses to house those ginormous phones.

made the cardboard cutout and man, the 6+ is big. it fits in my shorts that i'm wearing right now, but it is like almost sticking out the corner a little bit. i'm washing my jeans now and want to see how it fits in those pockets. still torn which to get.
