I'm on a 3GS, ios4.0, modem firmware 05.13.04

I was so lazy on updating my ios for fear of losing my unused JB and unlock. I kept telling myself i was gonna sell unlocked for $$$$$$ but i dont think there's a market since 3GS is free. LOL.

"Free" with a contract, which is hardly free or cheap. That market is still there. 🙂
 
Looks like the servers are getting slammed maybe? On my Windows 7 PC I kept getting error 3200 on the ipad. I really feel like updating it so I put my ipad into DFU mode and did a shift-restore on the downloaded ios5 update. So far that's going along as it should. Actually, it finished up as I was typing. I'm in business.
 
Can't update iPad 1 or iPod touch third gen. It also deleted my address book and iCal information. Lovely.

Same here. I'm running the same phone, with same iOS and jailbreak for occasional internet tethering. I really would like to upgrade, but tethering is too nice of a feature to lose, and a tethered jailbreak is not a serious option.

I was getting the same error. 3GS iOS4.3.3 JB. Did a backup. Tried to restore to iOS5 (either from Apple or via a downloaded .ipsw file) - every time I was getting a failure on the restore with error 3200. I like to start things fresh once in a while.

So now I'm in the process of upgrading. Will try to restore to iOS5 then and then restore my stuff from the backup. Hope it works...

EDIT: Error 3200 🙁 Same when I put it into DFU mode... Any ideas how can I do the upgrade?

EDIT2: Tried it like 10 times and it finally worked! In the middle of the restore now...

Did you turn them on under the notifications setting? I can't remember if Calender is on by default but each app has an individual setting for the notification center, as well as to be shown on the lock screen.
 
Are all of the notifications on the lock screen?

And my biggest question.. If you receive an email, is there a way to set some sort of repeat reminder?

You can set repeat reminders. You choose what programs appear on the notification lock screen / notification center.

It's ON under Settings--> Notifications--> Calendar --> View in Lock Screen.

I was expecting it to show up like in LockInfo with jailbreak, but am not seeing it.
 
3gs updated w/out any issues. Running fine. It took about 1 hour for all to complete...
 
If I am running all my mail on my iPhone via IMAP, what exactly will go to iCloud if I set my mail to go there, too?
