Well, they've already delivered one that does ">3.3GHz", it seems.Aren't they meant to deliver a ARM test chip based on the A75 at 3.5GHz soonish
From RTL tot tape out in 14 weeks.

A75 achieves over 3.3ghz, and that's obviously made with the SoC flavor of 10nm.
That can't be accurate, that's beyond ridiculous, that's the worst new CPU release in history if true.Right now Intel 10nm execution is abysmal and they are only doing PR stunts. CNL is an unmitigated disaster. I think the first gen 10nm takes the cake for the process in the worst shape to launch production in the last 10 years. 2.2 Ghz max turbo on a 2C chip at 15w. lol. Ridiculous.

That's why I think it's fud.
what do you think about intel's 8 core 16 thread i7's and 6 core 12 threads i5's in 2019? I read some rumors about them.
yes, probably ice lake but honestly intel line up is so messed up right now that i dont even know what their next gen is going to be.Ummmm . . . hard to say? Presumably you are talking about Icelake. Might be too little, too late.

Well that is assuming ryzen does not release a 12 core 24 thread CPU with zen 2, which will be this q4 2018, well they are still rumors. All I know is it's going to be awhile. 8700k will probably be their best desktop CPU until Q2/Q3 2019.
well there are certain things that make me upgradeAs far i know things in PC world we should wait 4 years and then upgrade becouse then we will probably get DDR 5 Ram and Pci-e 5.0
It appeared in HWInfo, apparently CNL uncore based on 14nm+++ last I heardWhat's the word on Whiskey Lake these days? Last I saw it was an unconfirmed rumor.
Thanks for that. Boy, Intel 10nm must truly be bad. That'll be, what, the 5th generation of 14nm systems, starting with Broadwell? It appeared in HWInfo, apparently CNL uncore based on 14nm+++ last I heard

Is there any official info about 14nm+++ from Intel ?It appeared in HWInfo, apparently CNL uncore based on 14nm+++ last I heard
He was talking about Intel. But if I were you I would not be expecting Zen 2 before 1Q 2019. GF is going to start risk production of their 7nm next year, even if they claim mas production in 2H 2018 it is not likely to be any product launch next year.Well that is assuming ryzen does not release a 12 core 24 thread CPU with zen 2, which will be this q4 2018, well they are still rumors.

https://pc.watch.impress.co.jp/docs/column/ubiq/1099371.htmlAccording to OEM manufacturer sources, Whiskey Lake says it will be manufactured with 14 nm ++.
The world was alright when we had codenames based on landmarks, then dales, fields, bridges, wells... and then the lakes attacked. Too many lakes across multiple product lines and segments.
So... Whiskey Lake is supposed to be the last Skylake iteration, right?
To the poster(s) wondering why Intel would release Whiskey Lake *after* Cannonlake, the only reason I can see for that is to offer a product refresh as an effective replacement for the failed Cannonlake.
It seems that if they can get away with it then intel will keep making 14nm++++++ based cpu's.
