meh, i wanna see amd's 65nm process, i think comparing 90nm vs 65nm is bogus... but again, conroe seems to be a hell of a cpu...

... today vs today

not future vs today

conroe is today

i dont care, comparing cpus that use same technology is more of a fair comparison wouldnt you say?

Lend him a 65nm AMD CPU then, and i'm sure he'll be more than happy to do the comparison for you.

but anyway, if any of u find good AM2 OC results, pzl do post-

I have seen a few posts about mobo used on conroe are dieing.
No one has discovered the cause yet. Intel is aware of it and says is working on it.
Anyone knows why or if these are just user's F up's and nothing to do w/ conroe?

hm is there a correlation between the age of a specific game engine and the gains it sees when ran on a conroe? i mean "older games" like source or cod2 dont see much performance increase while oblivion or fear do. how come?

Holy guacamole...that's a crazy-fast FSB. The quad-pumped FSB is getting up to the speed of the base model C2D. Nice benchies.

I didn't bother to read but why the heck did they use different drivers for the video card? Seems a major shortcoming. I'm not saying the difference had anything to do with the drivers but usually when you want to compare something properly you need to make sure there is no possible confouding issue
