But I would guess that depression is much higher among GenZ then with with millennials. Doomerism is really a growing thing among that demographic.
GenZ gets to the enter the real world with:
- A mentally destabilizing pandemic
- Climate collapse right in their faces
- Astronomical asset prices (and the highest wealth divide in history)
- Russia threatening nuclear WW3
- A looming recession/depression
If #5 happens, #3 corrects to an extent but is still much worse than 2007-2009, and then there's still more points I didn't have to cope with when I was a young adult.
Oh and meanwhile the great USA doesn't take care of families for shit, expects both parents to be working all the time instead of raising, talking and just being present for their children so they can grow up into functional/content and even happy adults that benefits society, and wonders why we have a mental health problem.
