Don't they put lemon juice on raw oysters in the half shell?
Theres a bunch of things that go well on oysters, lemon is one.
Lemon is fine (if a bit unimaginative) on most seafood, kippers have a strong smoked flavour though and take malt vinegar better than lemon. Unless you are getting those horrible vacuum packed kippers that come denuded of head and tail (and flavour).
Dont get those. Dont let your friends get them either.

Hmm I’m 50% soulless. Perfect plate of hotdogs for me is one with mustard (preferably yellow) with some relish then a second dog with ketchup
Nah, to me there's a difference between "I don't want ketchup on my hot dog right now, thank you" and "I refuse to provide ketchup and if you ask for it you'll be asked to leave and not return."

And modern Ketchup doesn't on any foods period!!! If you going to have some on any kind of meat, at least get the real thing, the Asian fermented fish sauce that the Brits brought back, Mushroom Ketchup developed by the Brits, or Worcestershire sauce.😡😡😡

Let's be honest. You couldn't handle 90% of the food you talk about if was actually presented to you. Fake food snob is worse than actual snob.

I enjoy Heinz ketchup on fries, burgers, hot dog, pork cutlet, fried egg rolls, fish fingers, etc.

Actually the Heinz(?) all natural is pretty good ketchup. Basically tomatoes, sugar and spices. No other random crap.

I just had the worlds best deep dish pizza!!
Jut imagine a deep dish pizza with Anchovies and Octopus and Calimari and mackerels layered with shitake mushroom and portabello mushrooms then a nice sauce using fish sauce as the base, then covered with 5 different kinds of cheese!! Served piping hot!!

Theres better things to put on all those though!
Mayo on fries (although proper chips with lots of salt and malt vinegar wins the deep fried potato stick thing), hot dogs need mustard not ketchup, pork cutlets need pickled cabbage, fish fingers need tartare sauce, fried egg rolls are better with sweet chilli sauce...

Burgers are where ketchup works, and then only if it's got those good crusty char grilled bits on it.

Things with ketchup on tend to just taste of ketchup.

(But really put whatever you want on whatever you want)

I agree. All those are what I use. But that's not to say I don't enjoy ketchup as well. When I was a kid, I used to eat all those things with ketchup so that's why I still like it. Same reason I still enjoy Totino's Party Pizza even though it's probably one of the crappiest and cheapest frozen pizza you can buy. I grew up eating it so it's my guilty pleasure.

Bullshit!!! And do you Figure I wouldn't like 90% of the foods I mentioned anyway? Just so you Know, I regularly try out many Ethnic Foods anytime I get the opportunity I get. I'm even willing to check out Stinky Tofu. So there you Naysayer!
Problem is I can't find anyway locally that will serve it.

Just out interest, so we can get some context, where do you live now (roughly) and is that where you were brought up?

A city in IL around 20 minutes from St Louis. Why do you know a place that will serve this?
I live in the UK so its unlikely that I'd know of a decent place that serves tofu (plus I'm not a fan of tofu in any of its forms) near you. I was just curious because you said earlier that you hadn't come into contact with calamari either and thats not exactly hard to track down.

You probably don't like tofu because you never had it prepared well. Have you ever had sundubu-jjigae or mapo doufu? Asians are masters at using tofu.

I'm sure there are places that could serve tofu that I think was ok, I'm just also sure that I would be thinking that this would be better with something other than tofu in!
I under stand why tofu is a thing, I would either just rather get my protein elsewhere or just skip the protein.
