Criminal Minds seems to do a decent job keeping itself within the bounds of tech capability, but without that genius guy and the ultrafast hacker chick ( who seems to have instant access to all the world's databases ) the stories would move pretty goddamn slowly.

Law and Order too does an ok job, but they do the 'enhance, enhance, enhance' shit too much and its OMG SERIOUS all the time.

NCIS - how the hell can anyone watch that?

Well, other than the entire premise of criminal minds being a bunch of bunk (serial profiling)...

I'll bet Doc Pizza can't watch a sitcom about making pizza without noticing the stupid inaccuracies in it as well...or shows about teachers...:p

Law and Order, CSI, NCIS... they all do this stuff. We're just the group that happens to notice. I have no idea what they're talking about on House, but it seems reasonable! When I lived in the dorms and my friends and I would watch these shows I'd get told to shut up all the time.

This a million times over!

I think the beeping computer is perhaps the worst atrocity in these types of shows for the simple reason that nearly everyone is familiar enough with computers to know that they DON'T beep every time you click, a image shows on the screen, or a key is pressed. It isn't like a computer is some mystical device, everyone and their dog has one, and they don't beep randomly.

I assume it is to aid viewers to realize that the computer is doing something relevant to the plot, but still, you'd think they'd find a better way to convey that
