I was about to ask teh same thing. Though the timing is wrong. They offer it at after training, not after you already are part of the company.

Are you serious? I've seen offers more like $150,000 around where my dad works to get people to quit. 2,000 is a joke.

$2,000?!? That's barely two weeks income...I'd be losing income if I took that deal since I'm sure it will take me more than 2 weeks to get another job. Do you work at a sausage factory?

I'm surprised no one laughed at your boss.

The guy who made the offer should have taken the 2k and quit because if he was passionate or serious about the company, he would have made a better offer to weed out the slackers. 2k is a joke offer.

Right now, yes! I've already turned in my two weeks at my current job. Now if you ask me in 2 weeks, hell no. And wtf is up with $2k? Was this at McDonalds?

for a company to offer that, it's not a good sign. I'd be pressed to take the money and find another job.

I'd take $2,000. Invested properly, in 10 years, I'll have $2 trillion.

Heck no. This is my first job out of college and it's a great place to start my career. I would take a pay cut before I walked out on my job.

2k is certainly an unrealistic offer for most of us

but there are plenty of lower income people working at the company

I only make like $2,000 a month, and would not take less than $15,000 to quit.

No, the company is not in trouble. The offer is more about getting rid of people that aren't passionate about the company or their job.

So, would YOU quit your job right now for $2k?

Do you work for Zappos?
I know the company does that kind of thing.
