I'm not sure how reliable this story is, but check it out
Linguists and computer specialists would have to update the government on their training up until their 35 and the draft would run for 18-34 year olds.

Part of me wants to say that I would go. The other part of me says that I need to finish my schooling... I won't take another person's life for dubious reasons. If any of you were in their shoes, you would do the same and defend your country. If I need to move to Europe in order to attend med school then i'm gone, most of my family lives overseas anyways.

I would try and get out of it legally.
If I couldn't then I would leave.

to iraq or another country?
I would most likely flee to canada since it's like right down the road and I know many many people there.
I wouldn't be too worried about impending laws to prevent draft dodging there.

I do not think I'd fight this specific war. Something on the scale of WW2 is different.

I signed up at 17 and was in the Army 2 years back in 83 / 85. So had there been a draft at that time I wouldn't have waited to be drafted.

Your logic is flawed. Stabbing yourself in the heart is way more risky than getting drafted. You get drafted you go through 4 weeks of training, in those 4 weeks the war could end. Also, i thought it was policy to move all enlisted people on the front lines before sending in drafties? That would be a sh!t way to do things by sending in civilians ahead of normal troops.

when ever i discused this issued with my friends this question always comes up. Military have policy don't say don't askl about gays, what would happen if during the draft board hearing where they determine if you are healthy enough to be drafted you tell them you are gay?

I'm glad you agree. We're not fighting this war to protect our freedoms. We're supposedly doing it for Iraqis' freedom, and they're ungrateful bastards. Our soldiers are dying for no good reason

First, having already served and receiving an RE4 re-enlistment code, I can't be drafted. But if I were drafted, it would depend on the situation as to how I'd respond. If it was Bush or any other Neo-con in charge of the country, I'd launch a revolutionary attack against our government and leaders with intent of executing them all. If it was any 'reasonable' person in charge, or if our actual lands were under DIRECT attack by open force, then I'd probably volunteer before they needed to draft me.

Really? What's your job?
I served in the Air Force, Satellite Communications Technician. It was a job with a uniform. My time in the military was fine and it helped to pay for school.

I am an engine troop on the MH-53 Pave Low Helicopter stationed at Hurlburt Field Air Force Special Operations Command in the 16th HMXS, FL
VIVA LA CANADA!

I would server my country, just like all those who died in the draft before me. If needed, I would go and fill some purpose.

I'm not even sure if I could actually go into combat because I have Asthma. I am not positive at all so someone please let me know if that is true, but I have heard that people with disabilities won't be going into combat at all.

I have asthma too. I'm a girl (but i heard if there was a draft it would include women too) so I'm interested in this question too. And also how about if you only have one kidney?
